I know its being asked a 1000th time but can you post how you determine whether someone has nbt or CIC.
Here’s my VIN for reference:
WBA3A1208EJ720271

I want to buy a car play box and hence need to know a way to check my connector before i order the right one. Thanks.

You are way outside the scope of this this thread.

Combox is an older official BMW Module for Multimedia and in some cases Telematics, and has nothing to do with Android Auto, CarPlay, nor Reverse Camera. The device you are looking at is an Aftermarket HMI Box.

As for which "Option" to slelect when ordering, I have no idea as I can not see any options without registering / signing in to aliexpress, which i refuse to do.

But, based on the item's feedback, I wouldn't be buying it it anyway:

Sent me a faulty unit which started flickering. I asked for compensation for having to get it removed again by a professional and was told to raise a dispute which I was unable to because I had no dispute option. Keep away from this seller. Seller is unhelpful

Thanks for the feedback. I’m not specifically looking to buy from this seller but looking for an option to add android auto or apple car play to my screen. Where ever I search, sellers ask to choose between CCC/CIC/NBT/EVO coonector types for my screen. So, if my Screen is a bis HUD, what connector does it have?

I presume screen has a 4-PIN LVDS Connector, same as CIC, but you should physically check the connection at back of screen and see for yourself.

Hmm ok, what does it mean? Im looking to buy a 12.3 screen to replace and i have seen that you have to choose between a cic connector or a nbt connector. I have never seen champ2 head unit options.

It means it neither CIC nor NBT, it CHAMP2. It's more like CIC than NBT.

Hate to keep you going but could you help me as well? Last 7 VIN is NS43567. It has the S606A package (factory NAV) - the Bimmertech VIN decoder says I have CHAMP2 but I just want to be certain before I order an Andream CarPlay screen. There is no combox in the back. 2014 March build date.

I guess the idea is should I be ordering under CIC or NBT//4 or 6 pin. Screen shows CIC.

The best solution in your case is to take apart the dash and pull the monitor out and verify what connection you have.. Id bet you have a NBT connection like mine did considering im 13 your 14.. YOur going to have to pull it apart either way and it only takes 10-15min to get the screen in your hand to verify the connection.
