Flowmax 2.5+ build help

I’m interested in getting a flowmax 2.5+ with a catless dp and tu pump limited to 93oct. What are some good tuners to look into and would this make around 500awhp?

Should be able to hit 500 with the right turbo, fuel pump, and tune. I would look into e85 though, at least a mix if not full e85. The tu pump is the supra fuel pump? It might be more cost effective but your leaving more power on the table with the turbo. I would get a better flowing fuel pump to take advantage of the flowmax

I don’t have access to ethanol. So maybe instead of the tu (Supra) pump get a ds1 pump?

I would, from what I’ve seen the supra hpfp will max out the stock turbo but an aftermarket turbo will want more. Not familiar with the flowmax, last I was around the forums it was only vargas and pure for the B58, you can also ask the tuner if you already have one picked out. Your gonna spend a little more now but not limit yourself right away.

Alright cool. I don’t have a tuner in mind, do you have any recommendations?

Not specifically, I have a Vargas GC still sitting in a box awaiting install, and when the time comes for my custom tune will be reaching out to MHD. I have had zero issues with their product, software, and support, but a lot of people like using specific tuners like shoup, f80paul, or some of the others.

Kern417 hpfp video said that to pump can support 550-600whp so maybe it’s fine since I am hoping for 5-550 whp

Are there some data logs with similar setups I could take a look at?

Contact David Shoup for tuning. He's a well known tuner in the community. He also tuned many Flowmax turbos, including mine.

Would a lpfp be necessary for my needs? Would it help improve the power band at all? I was watching kern’s video on the tu pump limit and he was saying that the tu supports 600whp as claimed but his 570whp (something like that) wasn’t there until very high rpm. Having something like the ds2 moves the peak hp earlier.

I came across this hpfp option, is it any good?

DAW/P800, TU, downpipe, and intake. Those are things you'll need to make ~500awhp on 93.

Fully agree with newt, a lot of people don’t seem to realize that on 93, you are octane limited when you have a big hybrid and tu pump. The tu just can’t do too much e on a big turbo, and that’s where you’ll run into more limitation.
If you can only do 93, I wouldn’t waste money on a dorch.

I know it’s limited. I just want to make sure that I have the right parts to maximize the turbo within the oct limitation to make it worth the upgrade.

Okay update- I found a station near where I’ll be going for college that has e85. What blend would be good and would I need to change my mod list (flowmax 2.5, catless dp, tu pump). Im guessing on e30 or e50 that would pump the hp to like 550ish?

Ditch the TU and get a Dorch25 if you wanna run any E mix. The TU will be limited to like E20 and the tuner will have to ramp-in boost a lot slower down low and mid-range where the DAW likes to spool.

Should I do charge pipe injection or would that be a waste? Fuel it has a option for it adding a single 950cc injector.
