Displays tire pressure

My car is 428i (F36, 2015), And follow by coding sheet, set to:

RDC_SAFETY -> aktive

But still can't see tire pressure in vehicle information.

Any idea??

Go back and check to see if it is still set to aktiv. You may have selected the Code button instead of Code FDL.

I believe it's due to Aus models don't come optioned with 'OPTION - 2VB', TPMS & Control Module as the case with the last 10 local vehicles I've coded on.

I think the system we are using runs off the ABS sensors to determine whether the tyre is flat.

Just a hunch but I could be wrong.

It couldn't be.
If no sensors, the tyre pressure monitor will be useless. Then run flat tyre could be very danger.

Last time, I got low pressure warming for my right-back tyre. And that's why inspire me to get this function working, so I can see tyre pressure for each individual.

It has sensors but there are 2 different types. I think for the Aus model we have the FTM but not TPM but I could be wrong.

-----
The Flat Tire Monitor (FTM) system uses the ABS to measure each tire’s rolling radius changes and with it, the rotational speed of the wheels. Changes are detected and signaled as a flat tire. The FTM system does not use tire pressure sensors in the tires.

The Tire Pressure Monitor (TPM) system uses tire pressure sensors installed in the tires to check the tire inflation pressure in the four mounted tires. The system indicates if the tire inflation pressure has dropped considerably in one or several tires.

You are not wrong Jeff. We only get the rotational type down here.

Same as Thailand models, my car is FTM.

If I want to install TPM, which part no. that I need to buy?
Thank you.

That's not good enough!!
Just pick up my new F36 428i 3 weeks ago. Last weekend, one of the Tyre was flat and no any warming on the dashboard and I still drove around during the weekend. Until I found the car tilted on one side.

Not sure the RFT monitor really working or not!!!

There's a quick way to know which system you have...

-if your tyre valve is flexible then you don't have the TPM system

In Aus, most of the F30's comes with FTM system and I think its an extra option...
