As the title says, can anyone tell me which voltage setting would give the best brightness for led front and rear indicators? The obvious answer is 100 % but that’s not always the case. Mine are currently at 13.7 volts, I’ve no issues with the LEDs whatsoever, just curious as to the correct setting

My educated guess (I'm an electrical engineer) is that the default setting limits the voltage to 13.7v so that the maximum 14.5v or so output from the alternator won't damage the bulbs.

So even if I have the setting at 100% 0x64 it won’t increase the brightness as the default is 13.7. So it will be the same in either setting, i understand, Thankyou for the higher voltage setting warning

So I did a few tests, night time coding to see the effects of different voltages. 100% definitely throws out less light then 13.7 V. You would think 100% is exactly what it means, but the difference when you use 13.7 V is pretty significant. So I’ve used 13.7V in every LED I installed, apart from the ones which will only allow 100%, the front fogs I coded to 13.7V and it also puts out a much greater light then the 100% setting. Also there is no flickering, but I wouldn’t go to 14V or above as billfitz said, as there is a risk the LEDS will burn out or not last very long. Mine have been in for almost 2 years with no issues
