David how did you manage to get heated steering wheel working with wrong szl? Was there anything else other than airbag pins? Any other coding?

What options does your F31 have? There are different ones based on Auto high beam, auto wiper, etc so unless we know your options, we can't help.

(FYI, I purchased one for my F31 with the above options, but have not had the chance to do the install due to the power wires.)

I know what part to buy. The problem is that it is very hard to find. As far as the sedan is possible, it is much more difficult for F31. For this I have FLA, so now at all. I have
248, 521A, S5ACA and rain sens.

I was able to solve this problem, there are two different steering wheel heating buttons

and for the F25 X3 you need a resistor button and everything works

just a pity that the steering wheel heating on / off is not displayed on the meter

Hi guys.

Just want to find out if anyone has managed to neatly retrofit the heated steering wheel switch onto the standard lower steering column trim? Photos would be great if someone had one.

If it cant be done neatly, I will buy the appropriate lower trim but thought I'd check before ordering.

There are multiple posts that mention the module #61319218379. Is that the same as the heating control module mentioned by Doughboy?

If you have lane assist (vibrating wheel) then you have the power already in the wheel so you don't need to do anything! It's the same supply for heating and vibrate.

The single wheel controller unit does both functions (provided you have the right one), you need the one that does heater & vibrate, then it will just plug straight into the correct wheel socket A83*4B, code it and you're away.

Your existing wheel controller will be for vibrate only, you need 3rd item 03 here:

Sorry to dig up this old thread but I would really like to do this retrofit.

I have a late 2019 F32 440i Coupe VIN: WBA4W72020AF39381

My car has the M sport steering wheel, no lane assist, it does have digital cockpit, parking assist package etc.

What I'd like to know is, can I find out if my steering wheel has the heater elements built in without needed to take it apart?

If my wheel does have the heating elements pre fitted, what part numbers do I need to order to carry out this retrofit?

I have read through the thread but there is so much information I am just confused now so if any pros can help me out that would be great.

after the retrofit i am having the same error code in my F26 X4 (03034A Button not installed)
To fix this issue i see that i must change the button.
The correct part no. for the button is 9267365?

Thank you very much.. after switching the cable everything is back to normal however i have some erros that i can't reset:

-201101 DME protection against tampering: program or data manipulation detected.
-420665 Shift paddle>> (shift paddle operation, 0X207) Signal invalid
-8044B0 Shift paddle.Short circuit to B+

I don't have any shift paddles installed and i see no retrofits on the car as well so how come i get this error? also i did't tamper with DME or other stuff maybe it has been done by one of the privious owner but how can i solve this? i have ISTA+ so is there anything i can do to solve this issue?

For those of you that had steering harness 32307848335, what did you do to connect the LIN bus single wire (2pin connector) from the heater module?

Did you cut the connector off and tap it into any blue wire in the harness?
Did you remove the harness and buy/install 32307848337?

When I look at 32307848337 none of the blue (LIN) wires have a double wire in a connector so assuming it's tapped (T'ed) somewhere under the taped loam?

Hey i changed my steering column and i retrofitted the button and i bought a carbon steering wheel that came with the cable for heating, i was able to get it working, it would show “steering wheel heating activated/deactivated” and the button lights on and off, but the heating never turns off, anyone have any similar issue with this? Or know the cause of it? I coded everything with bimmercode. 2018 f36
