340ix Spare Tire with M Sport Brakes

I have a 340ix with M sport brakes and there is no spare tire option, presumably because it has run flats but I wanted a spare anyway. Bimmerzone has a spare kit that works with M sport brakes but I didn’t want the steel wheel and I didn’t want to deal with the Centering Ring.

I found the spare wheel from the 7 series works and it doesn’t need the Centering Ring. I can also use my existing bolts. The spare tire from the 7 series is too large, its 25.6” whereas the f30 needs a 26” diameter wheel. So I just bought the wheel and tire separately and had the tire mounted at a local tire shop.

Parts list
• Spare wheel from the 7 series - 36116796147
• Tire - T145/70R18 (I went with the Maxxis TP10659000)
• Valve – 36121116326
• Vehicle Jack Kit - 71102182448

I did buy the BMW jack kit. It was a little expense but I was impressed with the quality and feel. It even comes with a torque wrench preset to 140 nm. Here’s hoping I never have to test it out.

The jack kit fits in the cubby under the floor in the trunk which is nice. For now the tire is just lying in the trunk. At some point I’ll tie it up.

Great find, thank you!

Does anyone have a part # for one of the BMW spare tire bags (with tie downs) that fits this wheel / tire size? The E9x spare is 25" o.d. so uncertain if it will fit inside 51470444689 (http://www.bmw-etk.info/parts-catalog/prd/BMW/VT/P/E90/...).

Does that tire size match the 18" M-sport specs or 19" setup?
