MrWinterWheels

Hi, has anyone tried the 18 inch rims and tyres from this supplier ?

Was considering and they seem good looking and a reasonable price too…

Sorry if this repeats any posts from before. I did a search but very few pics

Yes. I have bought 4 sets of wheels from them - including the ones detailed above.

Highly recommend. Please let me know if you need any more information.

What do you do about pressure sensors? assuming you buy tyres as well.

These look like the Borbet XRT wheels that I have my winter tyres on.
https://www.borbet.de/en/xrt-brilliant-silver
My car rides better with these than with my summer wheels & tyres!

You can add the sensors and tyres when you order.

All very easy.

I looked at Mr Winter Wheels and they seemed very good but then I got a deal on an OEM set so went with that instead.

Would consider them in future though.

Thanks appreciate that. Thinking to go ahead with these. I assume there is no issue with the PCP contract 😎

No need to tell them. Just the original wheels need to be on if / when you return.

You may want to tell your insurance company.

Yup, new tyres going on the fronts soon and then they'll be back on the car. This will be the 5th winter they're doing

was looking at the 19 in version in grey for my M3, do you know if they are direct fit or need spigot rings?

By looking at the wheel spec, I don't think so. Just send them an email and confirm. They reply quickly.

I have the 18" in black with Pirelli Sottozero tyres. No issues and look great. I got my TPMS sensors from them too. Was around £1200 if I remember rightly.

I had a set of silver 17" that I ran on my F10 for 4 years, again great wheels and good company to deal with.

are they classed as black or grey ?
Given colour of my car I want black really to contrast. They look quite good.

My wife has the 18" grey on her X3. I've attached some pics if it helps. They are really easy to keep clean!

Those black rims look pretty good! Does anyone know if they are EH2?

A local tyre fitter has suggested these 18" EH2 rims to me. Price is around £1400 inc winter RFT (245/45/18) and TPMS. The price might move a bit depending on the tyre choice.

Think they are made by Borbet.

EH2 is the code for a runflat rim, has an extra groove/hump? To prevent tyre seperation when it hits zero pressure.

I have no idea of this a mandatory requirement, wheel store is recommending.

**UPDATE** Just had replay from MrWinterWheels:

"These wheels are EH2, we can order an alternative EH2+ wheel in if you would prefer? These are a little more expensive, with not a huge gain. As you probaly know the purpose of the second humps is to avoid the tyre coming off of the wheel when run flat. We have sold many thousands of these wheels with runflat tyres and this is not an issue that we have seen from our customers.
