Question Help, I have questions! Future 335D owner,

I'm in the process of swapping my G30 520D Touring for a 2017 335D M-Sport Plus Pack. I need some advice with tyres and wheels.

The car has 19 inch wheels, 370mm brakes (I believe) and staggered tyres.

Ideally I'd like to run the car on all weather tyres like the Michelin cc+ or Bridgestone A005 all year round. I live at altitude and we can get snow anytime from October right the way through to April. My questions are as follows: -

1. Can I drop a wheel size and get a set of square 18s, if so does anyone know of any OEM wheels or aftermarket wheels that will fit over the huge brakes?

2. I can get CC+ and Bridgestone A005s in the current wheel sizes but they aren't * marked, will this cause issues with a 2017 X-Drive system thus voiding my extended dealer warranty?

I'm not too worried about the drop in performance as I'm fairly laid back driver. Can't help but feel that the xdrive and plus pack have really narrowed my options in terms of wheels and tyres.

BMW OEM 400M Style 18" wheels will clear M Sport brakes. These wheels come in both staggered and square sizes.

400M Style square wheels are xDrive compliant with no issues.

Thank you, I'd seen that the higher powered F30s with M-Sport brakes had even larger discs. I just wanted to be sure before buying from eBay.

All F30 OE 18" rims should clear the M Sport brakes (you can verify your preferred style by search). All F30 OE rims are indeed also fine for x-drive, staggered or squared. No problem with the non-star tires of the specified parameters, but can't comment on voiding warranty (no problem in Europe).

I was specifically told - when I asked - by the dealer that if I used non star rated tyres any issues with the xdrive system 'might' not be covered by warranty.

Swapping to 'all weather' square non runflat would have been ideal but as we have a Mini Cooper equipped with winter tyres we do have options if it snows.

I think I'll run the car for a few months and see if the 19" inch runflats are too harsh.
