Paddles

Hello everyone. I just picked up a f30 328 m sport as a birthday present for myself. the car had no paddles. I was curious if I could just purchase paddles or what else I would need. My car is already wired with a wire in pin 5 in passenger footwell. Any help is appreciated.

I've been looking at this too. There are a ton of threads on this forum, if you just do a google search for something along the lines of "f30 paddle shifter retrofit" you should find most of them. Here is the thread I've been looking at most closely. https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1455580

So if you open the steering wheel you should see 2 blue connectors if you have those then all you need is whatever paddles you want and plug them in if you're already coded and pinned for it simple as that. If you don't have those blue connectors you will need to buy a new wiring harness with them like 50-60 bucks new.

Do you want paddles or do you want your transmission to be coded with Sport Auto?

Note that the Sport Auto setting comes with paddles. Mine didn't come with paddles so I just coded sport auto, so now it behaves the same way, just without paddles.

Garage List
You need:
-paddles
-steering wheel backplate with holes for paddles
-wiring harness with your current options (heated? vibration?) plus the paddles wiring.
-Code in sport auto (bimmercode)
-Sport auto shifter update to complete the package.
