So I purchased the new Samsung Galaxy S10+, traded my old S8+. My S8+ connected to my BM3 WiFi agent most of the time. My new phone has yet to connect once. Anyone have a problem with the new Samsung connecting to the WiFi agent?

I did try to flash it a few days ago. But just got a failed to download error. I asked PTF if I was able to, they said no because I'm not a beta tester. Very anxious for the release of this. It's gonna help a lot on the track. 👍

Exactly what happened to me. I haven't checked since last week. I ended up flashing with xHP instead.

I'm just trying to connect to my WiFi agent. I'll get to the gear flash when it comes out. For now, I simply can't connect for more than a minute. I tried again tonight.

Did you set your SSID and password with no capitals?

WIFI network (Phone’s hotspot or home/shop Wifi) with the following name and password (case sensitive):
o SSID: bootmod3
o Password: bootmod3

Can you connect anything else to your hotspot and it stays connected?

You could try taking out the SD card from the agent and reinstalling the software. This will explain how to do that. https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1484555

My Note 9 has no problems connecting and I use the Samsung Good Lock App to automate turning on my hotspot when my phone connects to my car's Bluetooth. Hotspot comes on and agent connects. When I turn the car off my hotspot turns off. I just setup a routine in Good Lock when Bluetooth connects to my car, hotspot turns on and it also starts Spotify automatically.

Another thing you could try is a different power cable. Maybe the cable is bad and your agent is shutting off?

Are you plugging into the USB port under the armrest? Try plugging power into a cigarrete lighter to usb adapter. But I'd definitely try a different power cable a loose wire could do it.

The key is figuring out where the problem is. Is it your phone or the Agent. If other things can connect to your hotspot and stay connected then it's not the phone. But your SSID and Password need to be bootmod3.

My bad, I see you had another phone that was connecting. Make sure your security settings on your hotspot are WPA2 PSK. Check broadcast network name. Do not check power saving mode. Make sure use 5 ghz band when available is not checked. Under 2.4 ghz make sure it's set to auto. Timeout settings 10 minutes. Protected management frames PMF is not checked. Make sure allowed devices only is also not turned on.

Hope that helps. Those are my settings and I got no problems.

We are in the same boat, I also live in LA. As far as I know, both the chargepipe and intercooler wouldn't pass because they don't have CARB certification. I guess it would depend on how hard the smog inspector looked when doing your check. They have to note whether you have aftermarket parts or not when running your smog check.

What I did was I got an FTP chargepipe and TIC, and I asked them to send it to me without any badges or nameplates on it. It's just a plain black pipe, and it looks as stock as it possibly can. You can get it from here and you have to put a note to not include the badges or serial number. https://www.ftpmotorsport.com.tw/ . It will come directly from the factory in Taiwan and you'll get it in a couple days with DHL shipping. And it's only $350 for both pipes, and they come with all new gaskets. Fit is perfect.

As for the intercooler I went with a CSF intercooler in black. You don't want anything to stand out and scream aftermarket.

What I plan to do when I smog is get a pre test and see if I would pass, and if I would pass, then go ahead and do the actual test that gets recorded.

My problem is my downpipe I just bought is real easy to see and that does not look stock by any means. I'm thinking you can get away with the intercooler and chargepipes if it's stealth, black with no badges, but downpipe is pretty hard to hide.

Just make sure to keep your stock parts in case you get stuck and your only option is to swap back to stock in order to pass. I have no idea how hard or easy it is to pass, I haven't seen any posts about that yet which is understandable. An unofficial pre test or two would tell you if you're going to be stuck swapping back or not.

Can anyone tell me what the difference between Stage 2 91 vs Stage 1 93 would be? I'm not sure I have the greatest octane. Would these maps put out similar power, or would I lose power going to Stage 2 91?

Just went bm3 stage 1 (love it) on my F30 n55 6 SPD. I was looking at the dashboard and notice that the pre throttle boost at one point hit higher than the target. I read some pages discussing what they mean so I'm assuming that might not be good? I'm looking for some input as to why it may have done that. The prethrottle max was 19 and the target was 14ish. İ have a dp, intake and cp if it matters.

Could be just throttle body closure causing a temporary pressure spike in the cp.

Just got my car back the dreaded CP busted I also installed a new intercooler. Prior I was on N55 PWG Stage 2 93 octane V7.0 no issues. This morning I loaded the v7.1 everything was ok untill I reversed the car my camera would not turn on also getting codes 8032D0-8032D8? It also scanned a valvetronic 135A08?

i have a whirring sound when in comfort mode. when i switch to eco, sport, or sport + it goes away. best way i could describe it sounds like a fan or electrical. took tune the sound isnt there. i habe reflashed several times and sound is still there. i am n55 335ix pwg 2013 6mt .sound was there on stage 1 93, sound still there on stage 2 93 tune. same with e30 tune. what is causing this sound and what is the fix?

Waste gate behavior /rattle? Custom tune? Or maybe email ptf and perhaps they can alter the behavior at idle and let car manage off idle behavior.

Check your version. V6.4 is the latest for n55-ewg
