Fuel Pump went out

My fuel pump went out on my 2014 328xigt with 14,000 miles with a 4 cylinder twin turbo. I read there are some recalls on similar engines but not the GTs, so beware, BMW knows there is a problem but the GT doesn't have enough complaints to warrant a recall for the fuel pumps. All you have to do is google "bmw 328i fuel pump recall" and see for yourself.

What happened when it went out?
Stall? No start?
Could this be dangerous traveling at high speed down the highway?

The fuel pump recall only includes certain build dates which does not include my GT. When the fuel pump went out the engine stalled immediately and coasted to a stop. If the dealership tells you your car is not part of the recall or if your VIN does not come up on a recall list, complain to BMW to get the fuel pump changed anyway or risk getting stuck on the side of the road.

This is why I always say to people, go with the bigger engine...I'm surprised not one person corrected the OP's Twin turbo statement, lol.

Good luck OP
