Yeah, I said that as well and now I'm just prepping her for sale at the end of the year lol.

im assuming you are referring to selling your JB4? but you arent running meth at all/or anymore right? since you bought the LPFP that means you are going the ethanol route right?

Nope. Never had JB4. I meant selling the car lol.

But yeah, bigger turbo and will probably max out at E40 for 350/350.

So i ended up ordering the bm3 last night as well...LOL...im going to tune my meth with the jb4 until full support on the bm3 is available for meth. Also ordered the eNet cable so it will be here monday(amazon prime FTW) so ill be turning my jb4 to map 0 monday. I bought the stage 2 93 tune with the bm3 so i will flash and run that for now. and when i get the meth and GFB DV+ installed next weekend ill be running the bm3 on stage 2 93 flash and the jb4 on map 3 with progressive meth. Mod bug bit me hard again! LOL

still dont know what exhaust im gonna get yet though...i like the quad tip but this is my daily and my family car so i dont want it loud...i was thinking of just going with the mid pipe and the axelback M series exhaust. plus im not to happy with the price on the AWE quad exhaust price....lol...i know it has the adjustable damper options to quiet the exhaust down but that price for exhaust is just a lil too high IMO.

Probably so he can go fast without breaking his "glass engine" . I would too if I had the means! Really can't blame him.

I’m kinda glad the motor is weak. I don’t want this car to end up in the shop for a motor build like my corvette. I bought this as a daily. Lol

Yeah, I have the normal one and I mean, on comfort it's not too bad tbh. I have people in the car and if I want to keep it quiet, I usually just shift lower while in Sport+... (I'm always in Sport+)

Yup. I'm selling because I'm already about to hit the ceiling on this engine. I don't want to spend all the time and money on building it with internals. If I could have this as a second car, I for sure would. I just don't want to build and deal with any potential issues that come along with.. Then you're down this long road of broken pieces.

That's fair, us n20/n26 boys are really gonna miss having you in the community haha.

My plans are to stay moderate, I plan on keeping this car for quite a while. I'm coming up on a year of ownership now

I'll still be around for some time. Even after selling the car, I'll still stay just as active.

Yeah, those were my plans originally but now I'm starting to get the itch, hard.. Entirely possible I scrap that and stick with it haha.

Are you planning on staying with the 3 series platform, a different BMW platform, or a different brand altogether?

I’ve been there. To be honest, if you’re going to mod to the extent that you did, you should really go with a v8. I was there before and modded a car then dumped a bunch of money into a car with not near the gains as my corvette. You can get a coyote mustang or any post 08+ corvette. Three or four bolt on mods and you’re at 800 whp running 9 second 1/4 mile times and getting 25mpg. Even a GTR can very easily get 700whp. Getting a bmw of any sort seems to be a lost cause if you’re going for big power. I love mine as a daily, but even the n54s struggle to make big power.

Yah, big power comes from big engines (more like engines with more cylinders but you get the point). There are some exceptions to that, but nothing's easier than dropping a cam, tune and full exhaust in an LS (even better LT) and all of sudden keeping up with some super cars.

That's not to say I don't enjoy wringing out more power from my N20 though, because relatively it's still pretty quick. It's also a lot of fun, so I wouldn't necessarily call it a lost cause... but I know what you mean.

For sure. LT’s are keeping up with supercars stock. Throw on some bolt-ons and you’re destroying lambos and liter bikes.

That’s what I’m doing with this car. I’m getting a little more power, and making it fun. I don’t want to fall into the trap of breaking things every week like I used to when I did with my old 4 cylinders. My old car spent more time being built in the shop than it was on the road.

I'll be staying German at the very least. Either 911 (Turbo or Carrera GTS or 4S) or M3 or M4. So probably done with the base model 3, unless I decide to keep this and just keep it as a second car. That is a possibility as well, because I may just keep it and build it on the side.

Yeah.. I said I'd be okay with a 4... Lol

But won't be doing any of those. Not a muscle guy, but Corvette's are nice as hell.. Lol. I'm a Euro guy, but that's one of the few American cars I'd ever buy.

Sell everything and do whatever you can to get into an F90 M5. That's the advice you need to hear... I would sell my leg for one of those...

Porsche 911 turbo is a great choice. Very mod friendly.

They are beasts, that's for sure... But I was never a fan of the 5 series weight or size. Prefer the 3 or 4 at most. I've been thinking about trying to tough it out till the new M3/M4 comes out and cross my fingers they do the same trans as the F90 M5.

Oh yes, it is. Trying to find a good 2012+ that doesn't put me on Ramen is rough lol. That's why the 4S and GTS are good 2nd picks.

Can't go wrong either way honestly. I'm really curious to learn about the next-gen M3. From looks to powertrain I can't wait to see how it comes out. It might be the last non-hybrid M3 (purely my own speculation), so they better not fuck it up.

I wouldn't complain if it were one... If you could have that power and slap a small electric motor in there like the AH, then that would be dope. I think the hard part is marrying the two to work well together. For me, the big seller of the M5 is the trans. Being able to be AWD and swap to RWD is a HUGE (YUUUUGE?) bonus for me. One of the things I loved about the Focus RS (Rest of the car was shit).

I don't know, something about the idea of a hybrid M car doesn't sit right with me. I love the idea of all wheel drive in M cars though, I'm with you there.

I mean, I'm not saying you have to give up any power whatsoever. Being able to provide instant torque in tandem with the power of the straight six would be amazing.
