You are entitled to your opinion, and you obviously have a lot of experience, but it also seems your experience is making you put your head in the sand, and not willing to except some of the results people are getting on 93 with this pump. Again, I appreciate your opinion, I too have many years modifying and tuning (albeit on a very amateur level and nothing like some of the geniuses can do) but I'm also very open minded. If I see hard facts something is working, even if it's against my thought process, and my initial thoughts are it's bs, I am humble enough to accept I maybe wrong. Good luck with your future efforts, and we will just agree to differ. |

@Raymondo1234 you could be right except that I really wish pump works with pump gas, so that my personal car can improve. Good luck man, let's see.

@seanWRT, so your saying the XDI upgraded fuel pump won't allow you to run pump gas??!??
According to OP he's hitting and holding 20-21psi with the just the upgraded HPFP! I recently upgraded to PS2 and using MHD for my tuning with stock fueling. Tried to use the OTS map for PS2 but my stock HPFP kept dropping rail pressure due to the ethanol content in my area for 93 octane. After some map revisions my car runs much quicker and the rail pressure doesn't fall on its face, although it's a sacrifice in boost curve which really sucks!! But like OP, I also don't want to run meth or ethanol blends so once price drops for the XDI HPFP I'll be grabbing one and turning up the boost!! |

Munchi, I know this sounds stupid, but I run the BEF right now and I'm curious about trying the MHD OTS map for the PS2. Is it located in the app because I can't find it for the life of me. Is it separate in the app store? When the OTS map didn't work for you, did you have someone customize it down a little? I'm running 15PSI right now and HPFP seems happy. I think market price and comp will drive the price down in the next few months. Just have to wait. |

Raymondo, though these are not dynojet results, the number are legit with E30 based on the log. Congrats.

Forgive me, just trying to learn here... It looks to me that load req is set at a level that cannot be achieved unless overboost is presented. Why is that? I have been looking at a few OTS logs also - same thing. The stock map (sort of) meet target - so is this not what we would want from a good tune? SeanWRT pureboost

Just to avoid more confusion - This is MHD channels you're seeing with Raymondo log, at least so it appears. It uses different terminologies than BM3. Namely, the load req in MHD means differently than in BM3. BM3 has a different name for the same thing. The log of Raymondo is fundamentally the same as yours, just a more polished one. That EWG is much easier to get run right than PWG is why. I have maps like yours and Raymondo's and they worked more than just fine. But at the boost level (18+ across) I want my car run, I'd fine tune the boost/load rather than use a cap to make target flat across. The latest logs I sent you, the boost curve is otherworldly smooth and ignition always extremely clean for pump gas. So much time spent. Meeting the boost target or not is a matter of pre and post boost control. It's a lower level and a more direct parameter to control. Intentional overshoot (post throttle, not pre boost) actually requires more skill. Underboost is safe and easy. Let's stop from here. For a topic like this, you'd better PM specific persons than open a new thread.

pump should be pretty explanatory, however there is a nice video showing intake manifold removal by kies motorsports. This should get most of us 95% of the way.

I thought PWG had the 2H maps first.
