Regardless of the hair splitting, even if 25k is “about right”, it’s irrelevant the new cost vs trade in cost, its 25k or less and either can’t be insured or can if you are willing to cough up 25% of its existing value just bloody insuring the thing for 1 year!

Serves him right for buying the awful Chelsea tractor in the first place

Hair splitting? You got it completely wrong!

Its like you have made the whole thing up, it started off at a 2019 £115k Range Rover Sport valued at £20k!! Now its a base model thats been to the moon and back and worth £5k more!

And why are they awful?

Yeah I just made it all up for a laugh

Why? Ostentatious monstrosity imho.

Thought you hated it here? How’s deutschespeed? Quiet? just back here to keep showing off the cars?

As I’m obviously a liar I’ll step out and you can confirm you were right.

It’s always better to just admit you where wrong rather than go on the attack and dig a bigger whole.

Just for fun....

I did comparison site insurance quotes (confused.com) on two vehicles for me just to see what the difference was.

One was a 2018 Porker 991 Turbo S selling for £120,000. Best quote was £974.00

The other was a 2019 RRS Autobiography Dynamic Diesel selling for £35k. Best quote was £1,754.00.

Identical criteria just the cars were different.

To drive on the road, the Porker must be one of the highest risk cars there currently are. The RRS is not IMO.

So something is up!

Yes there is a problem, they are getting stolen in certain cities. Birmingham is rife, but although it’s not the only thing getting nicked it is the most. It’s crime that’s killing them off. Bit like the Cosworth in the the early days.

Shame because they are the only car you would ever need and are such a nice thing to be in.

That something is you extrapolating your opinion to being somehow relevant to insurance underwriting.
