I have a 2014 F32 production date 10/2013, believe I have IHKA 64119311850. I found 64119381114 for sale with dates 3/15-8/15. On the realoem page for my IHKA it says "bilaterally exchangeable" and on the page for the new one it lists mine as "exchangeable retrospectively". Does this mean it is compatible?

If your control unit is defective every part number will fit and work. But if you want the color change like the newer models you need to change more parts. |

Thanks. I also bought the control panel as well as the bezel from a 2017 with the LEDs, along with a y-cable.

I have read your post threads well. My car is a 03/2013 F30 320d. I purchased and installed the climate panel that after LCI (64119363546, 09/2016) and ihka3 module (64116820235, 03/2016) from Ebay and replaced the wiring. But .. I would not see ihka3 in my VO code ... And it seems to be worked well and assembled but the orange light is blinking. Blinking lasts several days and the AC and OFF buttons do not work like the first photo. So I thought about two solutions. The first is to change to the ihka3 module (perhaps 64116842986 or 64119390099 ?? after 09/2016) later than the climate panel that I installed (64119363546, 09/2016). The second is to change to the ihka module (64119381114 for sale with dates 3 / 15-8 / 15) which matches the original ihka module (possibly 64119311850?) of my car, as shown in the second picture. I would like to hear your opinion

I completed this retrofit today thanks to this thread. Connected the wires as described, installed the updated module and then installed the new faceplate with bezel. My 10/13 production car was already updated to a late 2015 i-step level so I did not need to flash anything, I only had to inject CAFD into the IHKA3 and it worked fine. I did have to do FDL coding to get the colors to change though, there were two settings that were both inactive but after I changed them to active the colors changed along with the headlights/daylight level.

Hello. Today I was to encode IHKA3, but esys can't see it. Everything connected. New panel attached. The blower is working, the rear window heating indicator light is blinking, the airflow directions are on LHD, I have RHD, the seat heating reverse works, the air conditioning does not turn on, the color change white and amber works.
What do you recommend ?? I changed ihka 64119311850 to ihka3 64116820235-01 and climate panel on 64119363546-02 Bmw F30 335d december 2013 RHD Last edited by Siwysdz; 11-23-2019 at 01:43 PM.. |

4) change car build date (Zeitkriterium) up to at least a 2015 Model Year (07/14) in VO. 5) update car to latest istep level 6) Performed a "TAL-Calculating" and then a "TAL-Processing" to update the IHKA3 BTLD, SWFL and CAFD files. 7) Run Rheingold to clear all warnings and errors before starting your vehicle. 8) Start vehicle and run it until the A/C LED stops blinking. |

Updating the car means updating all modules, I don't know for certain but I believe it has to be a 2015 level. I had updated mine to the last version available in 2015 before I started the IHKA3 retrofit and did not have to change my build date in order for e-sys to see the module.

Hi Lary, I tried to follow this guid to retrofit IHKA3. I upgraded from Pre LCI Single Zone Climate to Dual Zone Climate with LCI IHKA3 ECU ( 6842986-01 Production Date: 19.06.17 ). Also I installed new Airbox (basis to high pl7). I also changed the CAN wires to CAN2 as described in this thread.
Now my Problem is, the ECU can be seen in Esys but only under IHKA and not IHKA3. Also all the files bellow IHKA are Red so for example BTLD, CAFD,HWEL, SWFL are all displayed red. And when I try to do anything it says Actual SVT has to contain at least one BTLD. Detect CAFD also doesn't work as it says finished with errors when I code it. Also it says Timed out P2 or something. It appears that the LCI Control Panel works ? The rear window heating button blinks and since my AC Gas is empty due to upgrade to High Air Box I can't test that really. Heating seats work aswell and air direction too. Only thing is I can't turn off the unit, it stays on at the lowest ventilation. Switching between White and Amber works too. So for any input I would be forever gratefull!! |

I have done this aswell but problem is that I still can't code the IHKA Ecu, it says timed out p2 or something and finished with errors... Another thing I don't understand is why it is shown as IHKA and not IHKA3?

You should see IHKA3 and not IHKA. Are you sure you have the CAN2 wires connected properly? And the correct version module?

EDIT: if you put my ECU part number in google search and write ihka3 behind it, you can find a thread on drive2.ru where a russian guy retrofitted the same thing with the same ecu I used. So there is deffinitely a different problem.... Last edited by MD20; 12-22-2019 at 05:23 PM.. |
