Sorry noob question here, for the BimmerCode (https://bimmercode.app/adapters/), does the adapter always need to be plugged in? Or only when you are activating/deactivating options? I only ask because my JB4 needs to be plugged in.

Set up your 1-8 shortcut buttons. You can set them to almost anything that you can access in iDrive, not just radio presets. These are mine
1 - Call wife 2 - Messages 3 - Vehicle Status 4 - Comfort Ventilation 5 - blank 6 - blank 7 - Sports Display 8 - Stop nav (surprisingly useful when the car won't shutup but your destination is in sight) Also i made a thread for free/cheap mods. Feel free to take a look. https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1437440 |

You only need to plug it in when you are coding. After I’m done coding I plug my vehicle tracker back in. |

My daughter drives my car sometimes. The vyncs tracker allows me to gps locate the vehicle. It will send me notices if she speeds, brakes hard, turns hard, etc. costs $80 for a year. I buy a new one every year. Beats the cheap units but those have monthly fees which add up to more than $80 year.
I can track her phone but if she doesn’t charge it or turns it off, I can at least find my car. |

It's extremely convenient. I get notifications on the iDrive screen when I get texts. The car can then read texts to me and I can respond with voice commands without ever looking down or touching my phone. |

Also whenever I code, I put my phone in airplane mode so calls or texts won’t interrupt me.
