Reset vehicle Inspection idrive message

Hi There,

I wonder if someone could point me in the right direction please?

I have just had my MOT done at a local testing station, not a BMW dealer, mainly due to the fact that I only realised that the MOT ran out today at the weekend and the local BMW dealership can not fit me in for 2 weeks!!

I now want to reset the "Vehicle inspection" idrive message - it has a triangle by it indicating that he annual check is due of course.

Can anyone please tell me what button sequence to use on the dash or what to do using the e-sys or EDIABAS software (which I have)?

Thanks & Best Regards,

Andrew

Just press the idrive button when on that screen and change the date to whatever you want. The annual inspection is designed to be reset by the user.

Can someone help explain what the purpose of a vehicle inspection warning is?
This is separate from the service right as my recently purchased 330e isn't due a service for 6000 miles.

As it's new to me I don't want to manually reset it if it's important i.e an inspection due to a recall or known fault.

Vehicle inspection is just that, ie a MoT or whatever is applicable in your country

It's just a reminder to the driver and can be reset any time
