Since I'm doing a few things to my car, I thought I'd keep a build thread going. That way, it also keeps track for me all in one place as well and when someone asks about mods I've done, I can point them this way. Also, I'll put text version in this first post, and put YouTube video versions for those of you that would prefer to watch instead of read. My previous cars were 2001 Volvo S80 and 2018 Mercedes CLA 250. I had my Volvo since I was in high school and crapped out around June of 2017. Then, I bought a 2018 Mercedes CLA 250 in July, but it just didn't work out. When I was car shopping, I was looking at A4/C300/3 series. Being in California, I really didn't need quattro and after CLA, FWD really turned me off A4. Then, I drove C300. The cabin is really nice and all, and I even had it as a loaner for about a month total while I had my CLA, but something didn't feel right when I drove it. It was comfortable and easy, but that was it. Then I test drove the 328i. Cabin felt awesome, especially the fact that center console was tilted toward the driver side. And the driving, oh man. The turbo lag was much less noticeable than in C300 or CLA 250. That was awesome. I did some more research on options and decided I needed premium package, technology package, and dynamic handling package. While M sport would have been nice, that was cosmetic and I could swap everything out later on. And I found the right one at BMW of San Francisco. It was a 2015 328i with 33k miles on it with regular service records and had just been turned in as a lease return a month back. I test drove that, and decided I wanted that one. Then, I picked up my 2015 F30 328i as a CPO on 3/24/2018 5:53PM at BMW of San Francisco. And that is where I embarked on the journey of a BMW ownership.
