120 mph (200 km/h) on some local road going up a hill. Was alone at night, good thing there was no cops that day. I just couldn't resist. Car went there in no time whatsoever and it felt like nothing. Didn't reiterate this exploit and would rather do this on a track, too bad there aren't any.

All I'm gunna say is the 60-100mph pull in the 335 is absolutely ridiculous. For driving here in the states that speed range is kinda all that's relevant if you ask me. Never been above 120, don't want to go to jail. 335 + HUD + Valentine 1 is quite a weapon for short blasts

220kph (136mph) on the Autobahn last August in an F30 320d. My own car maybe 110mph but a very short time. Don't need any felony reckless driving arrests.

I must say I'm impressed. Far less bravado around here than I expected. In South Africa, it's relatively common for folks to do > 200 km/h. It's still dodgy, and highly illegal, yet folks still do it and brag about it.
I get a lot of flack for not having maxed out my 335i. If I had a good place to go (e.g. a track), I'd give it a bash, but until then, I have topped out on 190 km/h, by accident :-o Last edited by sn3rd; 04-28-2014 at 02:28 PM.. |

210km/h on A7 during my ED in December. 110-120 mph was nice comfortable cruising speed (for me), but at 130mph on stock all-seasons the 335GT started to feel like it shouldn't be pushed too much further...that and my wife was already yelling at me to slow down from the passenger seat back at 120mph.
I call BS on the 100mph limit during the break-in period...With the 8-speed, 110-120 was well under 4500 rpms, and 130 was still under it. I gradually built my speed up, so I'm not quite sure why the 100 mph guideline...That was my justification at least

I live in Germany. Got my F39 328i up to 160. Well at least that's what it said on the speedo. The car handles it fine. Gotta love the autobahn. My buddy got his E9 M3 up to 180, gotta admit I was a lil nervous. But it was amazing.

125 mph on the freeway in Vegas, it was late at night and open. Stayed there for 2 seconds and slowed down, I didn't want to speed passed a hidden cop

125 on the way to Vegas. Felt like I was doing 65. Solid. Locally I try to keep it within the legal realm but there are a few stretches where I can open it up. I am insanely jealous of people in Germany. Only time I got to drive the Autobahn for hours on end I was in a Mercedes sprinter van, on tour and we were maxed out at around 90 with a trailer full of gear in the far right lane as I watched all the excellent cars whiz by. My next BMW will have to be ED.

Hi guys! This is my first post post here.
I've pinned my 335i M-Sport at 155MPH a couple of times on empty Nebraska back roads and sailed through a long sweeping curve at 135MPH. Estoril Blues looks so good at that speed. |
