Just lowered my 328 xdrive on Dinan springs

I spent weeks trying to figure out the drop I would get. At first it was easy tons of members have these springs when you do a search but what I quickly learned was the drops different between the 328, 335, RWD and xdrive. Photos were easy to find for the 335 rwd and xdrive guys but 328's and 330's were tough. A friend of mine has a 328 with the same springs and the back of his car appears to sag lower than the front and this wasn't the look I was going for so i was on the fence about buying them.

Here's my car lowered yesterday morning for those trying to decide (I've done a couple hundred km's already).

Note: I haven't looked into it but it sounds like if you have adaptive this is another factor that can drive the type of drop you get.

From a performance standpoint:
-Body roll almost completely gone
-Very little bounce but when there is the cars quick to level
-Arguably feels "stock", car should have come from factory like this

I think a drop is my next move for this car, so thanks for posting this! Just to clarify, what exactly is your car's spec? I know you started as a non M sport, but is your car a complete base model? I have a base, no-line 328i xDrive and I'm curious if this is how my car would turn out if I went the Dinan route like you did. I'm hoping so because it looks damn good!

Yeah my car was a base model with non-M (and non-adaptive) suspension so your drop would be identical to mine in theory.

Dinan spring model: SKU: D100-0911
Bumpstops: SKU: D193-3021

Looks great! I was thinking of ordering this for my 335i xDrive:

https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw...-kit-d100-0912

Did you order any bump stops or the "Ride Quality and Handling Kit" FCP recommends as well?

Yeah I got the bump stops too.

I picked my set up on a local classified new in the box. Roughly $375 all in, was a great price and why I moved so quick but the unclear drop had me stressing.

Sweet, that's what I was looking to hear. I was probably going with Dinan anyway, but you sealed the deal for me. What size are your summers (437's right?). I know the Dinan springs will work with my stock wheels, but not sure if they'll work with my 20x8.5 245/30-20 Dinan wheels. I would think Dinan wheels wouldn't have fitment issues (worried about rub, primarily) with Dinan springs, but you never know lol.

I can't comment on your setup but correct I have 437's. Tire sizes are 235 in the front and 265 in the rear.

And have you been able to confirm, whether from your own experience or from other's, that you won't have fitment issues (rubbing) with the 437's and the Dinan springs? Don't mean to pepper you with questions, but this thread was timely as I've just started shopping around for springs

How much did installation cost?

The drop is 3/4" both front and rear correct? Here's my current setup on 400m 18's staggered 225/45 8 front and 225/45 8.5 rear... My suspension is definitely "floaty". I just upgraded my brakes front and rear so I'm ready for a bit of a drop as well

Your set-ups not unlike mine. The drop as per the specifications was 1 inch.

Aside from the offset my wheel specifications are the same in terms of diameter (between my two sets) so I don't see why it would be an issue.

The 437's are commonly used with H&R's and those springs give you a lower drop so I can only assume mine would be ok

Cost for install will vary on mechanic but my install cost me $130.

Car looks good. Dinan makes some great products; especially their shocks/springs combo.

Looks really good. I have Dinan springs too, and their drop is perfect. The red calipers are nice
