Alpina Gearbox Flash - x35d - Southern Group Buy

Putting the feelers out to see if anyone is interested and we can get a group together might be able to get a few quid off the flash?

Nothing firm yet just looking for interest, somewhere Surrey/Hants maybe Pompey/Winchester/Guildford?

Just add name below:

The automatic gear change points in sport mode + stick left in DS would be higher than what's optimal for the x30d anyway,.. the power curve would be falling off a cliff on the x30d before it changes up I reckon.

I think Watsey 's car is a 330d, so I would think so

I'm too far away really, but quite fancy getting my 335d done

Looks like we need to check the suitability for the 30d units. I thought the shift points are at a lower rpm so might be OK.

I think they are lower than the 4900rpm the x35d shifts at max in auto.

You need to find out how much lower though first .. the x30d's highest shift point in auto is around 4600rpm which I think is slightly too high anyway looking at dyno graphs of these cars. If the Alpina has shift points of around 4700/4800rpm it's too high for the x30d.
