I'm broadly sympathetic to environmental concerns (ignoring the irony of having 3 cars in the household), but this protest just seems like a daft publicity stunt, which makes Greenpeace seem like they don't really understand the full issue.

Or have we just found out Lobb is up to now he is banned and has no other voice for his anti-diesel rhetoric?

To be honest, I have to agree with them but for a different reason...

Diesel engines just sound shit so the sooner they go and are replaced by V8s, the better.

Not long before 3 cylinder engines are the norm and a 4 cylinder will be regarded as premium in much the same way that 6 pots are now.

Not really . Because VW got caught in the US cheating and also VW didn't commit to stop build diesels unlike every other manufacture.

The very bad research in this area would suggest the average Chelsea pensioner will last 6months less due diesel cars.

They totally ignore very good research that links asthma to Bean based products. No one is trying to ban soya beans for health reason are they?

This is hilarious as VW are not the only ones albeit they are worse than others.
