2019 440i feel like it's about to stall at takeoff

The car has 600 miles on it. From time to time, it feels like it's about to stall when I try to move from a full stop (like a stop at a traffic light). It feels like it's running on gas fumes when in reality it has half a tank of gas. I pull over, restart it, and it runs fine. Until the next time it does it. So far, it has done this only twice in the 8 days since it started doing it. It doesn't throw any codes. Any idea about what it might be? Anybody else experienced this?

What drive mode are you in when this occurs?

I don't mean to offend but seeing it's your first post can you confirm I am correct in assuming you have an automatic transmission, any potential answer will most likely be different if you don't.

I have a 2018 440 and no such issue. I know in comfort mode and eco it doesn't take off very quickly, but that's how the car is, whereas sport and sport + is very quick response.

If you're staying its about to stall... that's another issue entirely...

A new car with 600 miles on it? Just take it to the dealer for warranty.

I agree, car this new should not have issues with almost stalling.

Sometimes I get a little hesitation on mine, usually starting from zero, especially in stop and go traffic. This is likely due to turbo spooling and lagging, but I never feel it is about to stall. I push diesel pedal (not gas pedal!) down and turbo spools, leading to sudden increase in torque and acceleration.

Let us know what the dealer finds.

I just got my 19 440i too, and the car already have problem within 100 miles on the clock. The car jerks back and forth few times while I was on freeway, have to replaced a crankshaft sensor. Maybe you should ask your dealer to check on that first.

OP must not be too concerned about his new car, not a single follow up post in nearly a day since starting this thread.

He must have a AT with the Engine stop/start on, however like others have said I'm not sure it is a stalling feel to it so maybe a trip to the dealer is needed on that. However you know everyone feels things differently and exaggeration in the mind can lead to the thought of it almost stalling.

Maybe he/she is so hard on the throttle that the nannies are kicking in.

I thought you're not supposed to go hard on the car before the first 1200 mile service lol?

Good catch. That could very well be it. I've had mine off since the moment I left the lot so not sure how it feels.
