F30 320i questions

Hi new to the forum but made an account to post here, seemed like the right one.

Just purchased a 2017 320i, and was looking at different tunes, and am having a little trouble deciding between Evovle, Eurocharged or just a piggyback JB4.

I'm located in the US and wanted to verify that I can do the remote ECU flash via the OBD port? Also how likely is this to be detected at the dealership for regular service?

I'm also interested to see if any developments have been made for the sport gauges that display hp/tq, I saw some mention earlier in this thread.

Currently my car is stock but am planning to do simple bolt on in the near future (intake, chargepipes and intercooler) eventually want to add a high flow cat downpipe as well. Not sure which order I'm going to do them in. Would there be just one map for the upgrades above, or would I have to get a reflash whenever I install the dp?

Any feedback is appreciated thanks

All done 2.5 hours.
Early impressions more urgent across entire Rev range, maybe my imagination but seems more prone to kickdown (need practice?).
Before I felt the car was fast but slightly ran out of puff, now no let up.
Happy

Did you have both a before and after run on the Dyno and if so what were the results of each?

From Max 297hp to 344hp
Flywheel Torque up between about 50 and 90 FtLb
Chart stops at 4500 revs though, but it keeps on going well past that.
Just took a load of shed junk to the tip, then quickly (!) home - what a combo!

335d.
Paul had an explanation about the rolling road and Xdrive traction as to why the start value was lower than the book value.

Are those figures at the wheels or at the flywheel ?

Both those bhp figures seem a bit low for a 335d if they're flywheel numbers? However, on the basis they're like for like the remap's given an increase of just under 16% which seems in the right ball-park; a lot of tuners seem to claim around 20% (which I can believe) but those that claim more I tend to take with a pinch of salt!

My thoughts (regarding the gains of the OP) exactly. 335d tends to 'map to >370-400bhp. 344 is surprisingly low.

Agree .. but since his car made an increase of nearly 50bhp before and after on the dyno (297->344) It's still on the low end of the gains a remap will get you on these cars. If his car had been making the BMW quoted 313bhp originally on the dyno it would now be making 360bhp.

The car could have a slight boost leak or the dyno could be reading low here.

Hi Guys - we have another promotion for 20% off until the end of September. Please email sales@evolveautomotive.com or call 01582 584 000 to book in. The booking doesn't have to be in September - you could book for October for example.

We are very sorry for the delay on the Evolve-R for the diesel F series models. We are just working through some kinks and illness on the part of the developer. We will let you know as soon as this is ready.

Yes any ECU tune invalidates your warranty. Nothing is undetectable these days.
