I still love the seats in my Volvo but after a few days of adjusting I'm now really happy with my seats in the 340i.
I've found I need to adjust EVERYTHING from the under leg support, seat angle, seat height, tilt on backrest and then the side bits to stop me sliding around. Was sat in it for 3+ hours on Sunday and had zero issues |

------ I found that with BMW seats (due to them being almost infinitely adjustable) you really have to try a lot of variations before realising the actual comfortable position for you. Sometimes you think "yeh that's good" but further adjustments reveal that it could actually get better. If the seats are not in an optimum condition then I cant last very long, set them up properly and I can very easily do very long journeys in them, and have done.

I find the m sport seats take some fiddling to get right... and are not as comfy as my previous audi.
I’m probably the only person who hates lumbar support and set it to the least intrusive setting.... only spec’d it for the wife!! |

I don't have memory seats in this one as it's just me who drives, but when I did take in cars with memory seats they even seemed to find a way of resetting the memory. It really pissed me off |

I just have to remember to adjust the steering wheel but yeah it seems they adjust EVERYTHING. Push the wheel in as far as it goes, lift it up as high as it goes. Turn all the lights off. Grrrrrrr! |

How do you do that? Resetting memory seats would infuriate me and he wife... as we have linked them to our driver profiles and keys too.... so would be handy to be able to backup the driver profile. |

haha, what was her name?
Always found Audi seats very sore on my back (although not tried any of the new models admittedly) but found BMW to be much better. Although this one (F30) is more uncomfortable without lumbar support but can be much improved by setting the 'tilt' just right. |

I have issues with the Sport/MSport seats too. This is my 2nd F30 and I'm still constantly adjusting the seat. I find the ergonomics/placement of some of the interior just isn't quite right, if that makes sense, and I get some lower back/leg pain depending on how long I'm in the car.
The most comfortable I've ever had was my 2017 Lexus IS350 FSport. Those seats were amazing and the interior was laid-out perfect (for me). It was more like a cockpit than anything else and everything was angled/positioned just right. The car itself was boring as hell though compared to the F30....trade-offs I guess. |

I am in the same boat. Just bought a 2013 335 with M package. Can't get comfortable at all. It's like the drivers seat doesn't line my body up with the wheel and pedals. My left leg/hip just aches after 30 minutes of driving. Will continue to adjust and try different cushions but not impressed at all.
If anyone has come up with a miracle solution please post Thanks |

Well I may be biased but I also find Saab seats really comfortable. Ran a 9-3 as a company car as a few years ago but the older ones were even better... my current Saab
I bought my 330D @ 50k miles and there was bolster wear present - i'm just careful how I get into the car now and it hasn't become any worse. Leather conditioner seems to help too... |

Many folk don't realise this can be changed, and if it's set wrong it will cause hip pain pretty quickly.

My last 2 BMW's had electric seats where as my current F30 has manual and I just can't seem to get properly comfy because I can't get it adjusted to the position I like.
It's like manual seats are a lot more limited in choice of position compared to the electric which you can adjust to a position that's in between that of the manual. Never in the car long enough to get a sore back but definitely had a little more back ache than normal since owning the F30 now I come to think of it

You guys have it good. M2 drivers seat is actually proven not to be aligned straight in the cockpit!
F30 seats are pretty excellent for my bodysize and position required. Very good adjustment also, only issue is the height adjust while on the fly, definitely a pull over stop manoeuvre.

In the first couple of weeks I found the seats to be really uncomfortable and I got cramp in my right calf. However after a bit of fiddling and also my body adjusting to the position I find the seats to be comfortable. On a recent 4 hour drive down to Plymouth I suffered no more discomfort than I have in any other car.
