I’ve never done the new car thing before, so I hope it meets my expectations.

It feels like a lifetime ago, but I only ordered in the middle of July.

I hope you get a great handover - our brand new 340i handover from Chandlers Brighton was pretty poor, but our used M135i handover from Chandlers Hailsham was amazing - the full tease video the day before, plaque and shrouded car unvailing on the day.

Sounds much like mine was. Car was in their 2nd hand car lot even though it was new, and took 5 minutes which was mostly the salesman trying to get their plastic tag off the keyring!

You’ll have to wait until Friday. I’m stopping in Woking for a curry on the way back, so won’t be back until late. It’s then into Dave on Saturday for new car detail and ceramic coating. He’s going to have it for the week while we’re away.

Probably won’t be pictures until Friday i’m afraid.

Car is stunning, and the combination of Mineral Grey and Shadow Edition makes it look superb.

100% worth the wait.

One very slight niggle, is the lack of the aluminium bar that can be clipped into the boot floor to hold things in place. I need to investigate further, but it appears BMW have quietly removed it from the options list. I’m pretty sure it was part of the extended storage pack, which I got as part of the interior comfort pack.

It’s not mentioned on the BMW configuraror specifically, and if you look at the RealOEM parts catalogue, it’s not shown for the most recent models. It’s in the picture, but no part number associated with it.

You can buy the clip in bar cheap enough on eBay, but without the holes in the boot floor, you can’t use it.

Need to speak to BMW and find out the official line.
