F30 LCI pictures show seat back pockets. Not sure if the US models will get them or not.

That's not correct. Those things were done for the 2010 model year. The "normal" speaker configuration was restored shortly after the beginning of the 2011 model year.

Headlights, and tail lights design look too busy for me. Looks like the same old f30, ugly. The msport makes the f30 easier on the eyes.

I know that. I don't like i8. Neither its tech part nor how it looks.

I was really hoping for a serious interior upgrade similar to what the E60 went through. As much as I've been denying it to myself, the reality is that the BMW of today cares nothing about the build quality and heritage of their past automobiles. All they care about is selling out their own name for $$$$$ and profits. It's pathetic you can have record profits for quarter after quarter for years, making money hand over fist, yet you won't put a small investment in your main bread-and-butter seller to get the interior quality on the level it SHOULD have been to begin with!?!?

All you guys looking forward to the G.... U better be looking for more cost cutting, cheap parts, shit ass headlights and taillights at launch. Don't expect anything better than what they are serving up now or you're gonna be in for disappointment.

IMO if they want to cheap out, do it on the lower models 1 & 2. The 3 Series has a standard to withhold. Interior should scream high-quality to go with the design, which itself is pretty good. Headlights should be Xenons stock with LED optional at launch. If not at least have the decency to put projectors over the halogens like the LCI E60. This, is, the year 2015 after all. Its sad when Kia/Hyundai, Ford and countless others have better looking stock headlights than a BMW 3 Series.

To truly get a decent F30 or any car from BMW you better be willing to cough up at lest $55K
According to a guy on here who has a buddy at BMWNA, they are taking that route for the G... Apparently interior upgrades are a huge/main focus for the next one, and that they will probably be taking that route where they make the 3 more premium.. Hopefully. Wouldn't doubt it, seems like a very rational route they would probably take, especially with the 1/2 fully launched now, like like before when the 3 first came out

The difference at starting price between the two is $20,000, not sure where you're getting $10,000 from. Fully optioned, a 335i will run up to base price for the M3 area(62,000), but getting even a few options on an M3 will run the car up to the 70,000 range, and by a few options I mean wheels, leather, a color that isn't Alpine White, and MDC. Also M cars are much less likely to have as many deals or sales as non M cars, so further incentive to stick with a 335i, and then you have to factor in insurance, which makes the 335i/340i seem that much more attractive

Does anyone regret getting a F30 pre-lci when you have the chance to own the new one?

Not me. The 2015 packages & options for my F31 diesel got me much closer to the car I wanted at a good price. LCI woulda cost me thousands more.

I could have waited two months but I didn't want to. I'm only happy I have pre LCI because I could do all the M Parts on my car. The LCI's do not come out till late this year or next.

Bump. Just curious, does anyone think the lower part of the non-Msport front fascia looks better in the pre-LCI car? Specifically I'm referring to the horizontal gap connecting the fog lights. I absolutely prefer how it pinches in more prominently below the license plate in the red car above. In the LCI (blue) car I tend to see a gaping fish mouth. I somewhat wonder if this change was made to increase differentiation with the Msport face?

I know this will all be moot very soon with the next gen coming, but I'm still potentially buying an F30 340i, so I'm really focussed on these things right now. My dilemma is I absolutely prefer the Msport body style but I prefer the non-Msport (style 397) wheels. And I really don't feel like jumping through hoops of buying 397 wheels separately and selling off Msport wheels.

But in any case, does anyone share my opinion on the bumper?

Rims are easier to take off and change than bumpers. Lci non msport has better air flow to fmic than pre lci.

I gave up my pre-LCI F30 for an LCI F30.. Really not crazy about the new head OR tail lights.. So, I see you can retrofit the new lights to the old car.. Can I retrofit the OLD lights to the NEW car? Please? Oh, and can I get rid of the new dashboard while I'm at it? The two piece dash with the stitching just keeps making me look at it.. I don't think a dash should do that.
