Hey everyone, I've been following this thread for a while now and I appreciate everyone's input on the different issues. I'm getting ready to jump on the mhd train soon, just been waiting to have all my bolt ons installed. I'm missing one piece of the puzzle so I'm looking for advice from the thread. I'm looking at the vrsf fmic's and noticed they have two for the 435i. For stage 2 setup, will the street be sufficient? I'm not looking to track the car, just some street fun. The street version is what's within my budget $379 but if I need to hold off and save for the race vrsf then I can do that. So what are your thoughts? Am I going to be fine with just street fmic? It doesn't have to be vrsf brand, that's just what I've been looking at.

Also which spark plugs do you guys recommend for a stage 2 tune?

Other mods:
CTS turbo intake
Vrsf catless downpipe
Vrsf charge pipe
Active Autowerks exhaust with resonator delete

Thanks everyone

Alex

MHD this was limiter you were fighting with? (coolant temp vs rpm). attaching screenshot, on some EWG versions its not 9000rpm all table flat, but ends with 5500rpm xdf is from n54tech.com.

When are we going to get updates on the N55 maps? Seems like it's always on the back burner and update schedules are missed.

The maps run pretty well as it is. They just rolled out with Precision Raceworks coil integration for the N55. More adjustments are coming soon, including an OTS map for Pure Stage 2 upgrade.

I was skeptical that the cable would make that much of a difference; but maybe it does.
The BimmerGeeks Cable flashes twice as fast as standard cables, so yes the flash times will be half.

Yes, but solved this problem months ago.

Get yourself the VRSF Race Intercooler and use the OEM spark plugs (we even run them at 23PSI without issues)

EWG Maps (you run a M235I) are pretty good and nearly maxed out, we want to keep a bit of room because the stock fuel system is nearly at its limit. OTS maps must run on cars all around the world in all conditions without having any issues. We will release a updated version soon, but don't expect a big bump in power since power is limited by the stock fuel system and the fuel you are using.

We have a solution that we will integrate in the app as a flash option, send me a PM so we can help you quickly.

Did you get that new FMIC yet? gonna need it especially in this heat we have over here....
You can't brick your dme if a flash fails. Just re-flash and you are good.

How long did it take to flash back to stock completely?
A full flash back to stock takes around the same time like the initial MHD installation. Get yourself the Bimmergeeks cable and enjoy half flash times.

Previously used MHD on my n54 335. I now have a 2011 F25 N55 PWG. Would I be facing the torque limiter issue as well? Thank you.

Hi MHD Tuning, any ETA on the updated power dials for N55? I realise it must be pretty low on your priority list, but just thought I'd ask

We will work on that after getting the TQ limiter fix integrated and the map update done. The power gauges are already "fixed" on M2 and M3/4.

What are the benefits of running the Precision Raceworks coils? Would the car make more power?

Very interesting to see MHD opinion on spark plugs as PTF is all about colder and gapped. Bootmod3 user here but I support the MHD opinion - NEVER an issue with factory plugs!

I dont think the upgraded coil add any performance to be honest. The flash options just allows you to use the coils and thats kinda it.

Same here. Running OEM plugs on FBO Stage 2 and never had any issues.

Stock heat range is fine but some do need to decrease the gaps if experiencing misfires.

Not bad at all!! Im curious though, why does it not have a 1/4 mile time? Also, were you running the 95oct flash??

Im hoping my 435i will be a hair closer to super low 12s since the added weight from x-drive im sure plays a role!

Our track here is only 1/8 mile. That's why no 1/4 time. Yes that 95 tune

The torque limiter is killing my runs as well. That is why I stopped trying until we have the fix. I have been waiting since April. I can feel my car vibrate when it shifts to 3rd. Once it shifts to 4th gear it takes off.
