Fontana Speedway in California

Slower than stock.

Mostly overheating and lose timing and thus power.
12.7 slower than stock? M4 is 12.1

I just installed MHD stage 1 on a 2012 BMW 335i with 91 octane. I tried to do a data log but not sure if I did it right. It seems different compared to others.
Let me know what you think. Thanks.

Slower than a stock M2? Not according to
-Motor Trend 12.8 sec on the 1/4 @107.5
-Motor Week 12.8 @110
But then there is -Car and driver 12.5-12.7 @113
So id say my 335i is pretty on par with a stock M2 in the 1/4 and I am more than happy with that as I don't have any mods other than a tune running shit 91 fuel, and shit Runflats.

107 is easily M235i time. Something is off with MT M2 test. Everyone else sees 100-113.

My suggestion for you is to install an IC. There're many good ones in the market even if you're on budget.

Can someone comment on the pros / cons of running the Stage 1 OTS MHD map at the same time as the BMS JB1 piggyback? I am aware of the CP risk, but what else should I be aware of? Car is stock except for MPPK.

You absolutely would not do it. Stage 1 flash is already optimised for best performance with stock hardware. A boost adder would be a recipe for disaster. Just remove the JB and enjoy it being a lot better.

Gains will be fairly small over MPPK without upgrading downpipe and/or intercooler and stepping up to stage 2.

So now I can compare the two different setups I have available to me...MPPK plus JB1 vs. Stage 1 93 Oct MHD Flash. Seat of the pants dyno only, I will be logging soon.

MPPK/JB1 combo is fun, but as has been said by many others the onset of power is somewhat unrefined, meaning that it comes on strong very quickly but is rather notchy (for lack of a better term) in it's delivery as RPMs rise. I personally am not a huge fan of the added burble that the MPPK programming adds either. I also found that the shifts at WOT (Sport mode) felt as if there was some added time delay between each gear. Maybe in terms of only a very small fraction of a second, but enough that it made the shifts feel delayed but more noticeably jerky at the same time. Almost induced a stumble of sorts.

MHD Stage 1 flash feels just as strong/quick/powerful, but the power delivery is silky smooth. I mean smooth, smooth, smooth. The shifts are also shorter, crisper, and snappy instead of jerky. It feels as quick as with the MPPK/JB1 combo, but is by far a more enjoyable experience. Even my wife commented that the ride was more passenger friendly in Sport Mode.

Win goes to MHD, even at the all stock Stage 1 map level. Anybody want a used JB1 for cheap?

I understand that MHD are not going to be doing a stage 1 rather than missing that and doing a stage 2 and 2+.

I'm about to hit 70k, running stage 2+ FBO for about 2k. Any regular things I should replace before I stress my motor more? (still on stock spark plugs)

So the Stage 1 maps are in the Beta but won't be part of the "official" release? Or am I misinterpreting what you wrote?

Makes sense. M2 stock tune is already pushed quite hard.
