Im in the same boat with you and am currently testing the Tq lim map! Car feels much better and holds power past 6500rpms. I will do some logging this weekend and will try to hit the drag strip this friday!

6MT here as well. I was hoping to do some logs on my drive to work this morning, but the car didn't get warm enough.

For folks just looking for logging only, MHD confirmed that they have a license for that as well. I am looking at this as a vastly superior option than Torque Pro.

That's pretty cool. I'm assuming you need the K+ DCAN cable for this and the standard OBD to USB cable won't do the trick???

Yeah.. looks like a cable from Bimmergeeks (or maybe an adaptor for the cable that I got for the Bimmertech 6WB flash.. hmmm.. *ponder*) and then the license for the app.

Seems you are victim to the BMW "hot climate package" issue that I'm testing right now. Send an email to MHD and they'll send you another map to try. You can verify if you have the "S823A - Hot Climate Package" by putting your VIN into www.bmwvin.com

My money is on the fact that you do.

tq limiters kicking in on 3rd gear with nasty throttle closure @ 3786 and wg duty that is not only creeping up but moreover oscillating wildly during said tq limit interventions...see how 4th boost curve is much smoother...wg much happier as well...

timing corrections are acceptable...iat are hot; you need a better i/c....strangely rich afr in 4th...what fuel are you using...?

I already ordered an intercooler just waiting for it to arrive, but I dont understand why my wg duty oscillates in the log. I am using crappy 91 octane egyptian fuel

I also have the hot climate package.. what exactly does that do or enable, or disable or whatever? My car was originally in Georgia, and now is in WA which is only hot for about 3 weeks a year. *laugh*

I have the hot climate package as well. And I have yet to have this issue. According to Martial only tq limit code 2048 indicates the tq limit problem. The other numbers which I am getting as well indicate max tq reached for that particular gear.

According to MHD : Coolant above 100C would lower the rev limit from 9000 to 5480 progressively at it reaches 110C (230f).

I recall reading somewhere that all E9X series destined for the US had the hot climate package. Not sure if that's still the case for the F3X.

Curious behaviour whilst flashing. App says to switch off climate and headlights, very sensible. However, as soon as flashing starts, the headlights switch themselves on, even with the switch in the zero position.

I have adaptive LED lights if that makes any difference.

Do you have an upgraded intercooler? IAT is hot considering the low boost.

It's running very little timing considering the low boost. You have a catless or high flow downpipe (a requirement for Stage 2) yes?

I personally would strongly consider a Stage 1 turbo upgrade. The EWG turbo is good but PWG turbo is rubbish, especially in hot climates. I have PWG and I've decided to not even bother tuning it until upgrading the turbo. The compressor is just way too tiny for a 3L engine.

This is normal. As are all kinds of spontaneous chimes, gongs, weird error codes, and other sounds like gremlins scurrying about in your dash. It's just the DME reacting whilst you literally reprogram its brain. It's your car experiencing an acid trip

I do have a catless downpipe, but I think the issue could be due to the crappy fuel, and I am still on the stock intercooler, getting an upgraded one soon

I assumed this however it would seem to be undesirable behaviour given that the text in the app specifically asks for headlights to be turned off. Certainly not desirable from a battery point of view when doing a map change without a charger connected.

Meh, it's a generic statement to be conservative with power. FWIW, I did the base flash (26 minutes) without a power backup and didn't have any issues.

And the adaptive LED's definitely have a mind of their own. During a recent jumpstart, I turned off every possible power consumer in my car including the AC, stereo, iDrive display and of course the headlights. Yet the lights turned right back on as soon as the the jump leads were connected, despite the dial being squarely in the off position.
