Great post. I'm looking at purchasing this same DP soon. Have you gotten a CEL yet?

Whoops sorry I missed that.

Damn I didn't want to deal with the CEL. I'm running Dinan stage 2 piggyback and don't really want to go to BM3 just yet. Hmm...

Edit: I should add the car came with the Dinan stage 2.

Jumping on this thread as a M235i owner... assuming this new no-cel guarantee dp would apply to us as well? would very much be interested as soon as Mike stocks them.

DP Re-Installed + Resonator Delete: Cold Start

Decided to delete my resonator once I took off my VRSF catted DP to pass emissions. MPE with the stock cat was too tame for me. Today I had the DP re-installed...

I didn't get to drive it on the highway until this morning headed to work and to be honest, not much drone at all. & I'm aware tolerance to drone is subjective but BMW built these cars so well it's hard to hear inside of the cabin. But I will say it definitely doesn't sound stock lol

Not sure if this is the right place to ask, but does anyone know if MHD will clear the code for a catted DP if it has a CEL too?

Not sure if you would know the answer to this one either Mike, that should allow me to pass emissions in that case correct? From my forum searching it will set it to not ready which will allow me to go through emissions providing everything else is ready?

Did the new VRSF downpipe come out yet? The one guaranteed not to produce a cel.

not the mike you were hoping for, but, no it will not make you pass emissions. This just clears the code so you don't have it on your dash. The monitor will still fail.

Thank you! My state allows for one not ready monitor. I was under the impression MHD sets it to not ready.

Correct, will still be not ready. But if your state allows one monitor to be "not ready" you should be fine! Unless they do a visual inspection too.
