ear buds
hey guys
looking at getting my daughter some ear buds for Christmas. I was thinking getting some apple air pods to go with her iPhone but just seeing what else is out there and if any one has any recommendations. I've seen quite a few on amazon ranging from £30-100. Has any one any experience with these? Thanks |

Depends what music she listens to. I bought these recently, and they're bass heavy (not in a bad way, for house/dance music they sound amazing, in my opinion), paired to my note 10 without an issue, batteries seem to last a long time, and the battery in the charging case I don't think I've charged since the initial time when I got them about 3 months ago, and it's still showing full!
They are Syllable s101, but can't seem to find them for sale on amazon now. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07Q8JRX..._zv-WFb76DSBRB They look identical to these though. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07QWLR8..._ju-WFb20KHCE7 |

I’ve got these Sony ones.
https://www.sony.co.uk/electronics/t...ess/wf-1000xm3 Sound quality is excellent. Noise cancelling works well too. |

A lot of the 'lookalikes' are crap. In terms of battery & sound quality.
And there are a lot of fakes about, so be careful. You can't go wrong with genuine Apple Airpods. The following link is probably the cheapest you'll find. Legit company, don't worry. I've had stuff off them. https://www.pricelulu.co.uk/accessor...n-pluk0yrjluzd

PowerBeat Pros 'IF' you are going to use them for sport and running too. Honestly amazing , the ONLY pair I dont have to constantly adjust and fiddle with while on the move.
Very pricey though so if not needed airpods no doubt excellent. |

Depends whether you want genuine or not - the Apple ones are good, but not worth the money IMO
These Anker ones are pretty good and on a Cyber Monday deal at the moment: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Soundcore-M...dp/B07SJR6HL3/ And if you're after something branded, I recommend these (also on Cyber Monday deal): https://www.amazon.co.uk/Sony-WF-100.../dp/B07T2FGG2Z

Got Airpods for calls (awful for music unless you have perfectly formed ear canals). Sony XM3's for music/movies on planes, trains and walks...

Air pods were on in Aldi for £100 on Black Friday.
I used to use JAYS- JAY 4. Having come from various Seinheissers and B&O ear buds. I settled on JBL ear buds which are Bluetooth, rechargeable and sound pretty good. https://uk.jbl.com/wireless-earbuds/TUNE225TWS-.html |

For a cheap AirPod alternative, I got some soundpeats for walking out with the dog. Plenty good enough for that & allow external noise in for spacial awareness. Less than £40 from Amazon & work fine with Apple products, touches to L & R ears do volumes, skip track & pause.
For better, Cambridge audio ear buds have great reviews but I've not bothered as yet as the above suit my needs. |

Resurrecting and old thread as needing a pair of wireless earbuds. Not looking at spending too much, just for dog walking and washing the car.
From reviews on Whathifi and Techradar these Sony's seem pretty hard to beat (pardon the pun) for the money, currently £75 on Amazon - https://www.amazon.co.uk/Sony-Cancel...0BXM3ZFKC?th=1 Anyone have them? |

I had jabra elites(£80) then Dr dre beats(£100)..
Then the Mrs bought the power locus from amazon for £18/20odd. Audio quality blows them in ear buds away and i think there is the radio function and the mic on the power locus is ace... clear enough to use when mrs is wfh. |

We are 'all Apple' in the household so it made sense to get my daughters AirPods when they hit the appropriate birthday (in terms of the cost of presents).
They work well, and Apple stuff typically lasts for years (even though I fully agree that it's often not the most technically advanced). I've got AirPod Pros and, for their size etc, they are very good (especially the ANC).

Consider buying from costco if you are a member...no question returns is great. Especially since these have a tendency to fall out for eg when you're in a hot tub etc...
