2BB300 Particulate Sensor Code

Fired up the wife’s X3d this morning and got a CEL. Code 2BB300 “diesel particulate sensor measuring electrode faulty.” Took a run downtown and back on the highway and it went out by the time I got home. I’m trying to figure out which sensor this is and if it’s covered under a 10 year/120k extension - I have a letter somewhere stating there was an extension on a sensor (not NOX) that I need to dig up. If it’s not covered I’ll look at replacing it in the near future. Can someone verify that #13 on the RealOEM diagram is the sensor causing the issue?

Yeah, did some research and it appears covered for 10/120 on the X3 (but not on my 328d for some reason).

Update - dealer replaced no charge under a 10/120 warranty extension. Again, this is the X3d, not my 328d.

So I had this code on my F31 328d and the dealer said it required reprogramming. Picked it up today... no more check engine light, but I’m pretty sure my KermaTDI tune is gone. The pep was gone. I’m debating if I want to apply the tune again or not.

Check engine light came back, same 2BB300 Diesel Particulate Sensor Electrode Faulty code... this time, the actual sensor was replaced under warranty.

same code 30EC00 and 2BB300

Writing from 2023 if any of you still have these cars.

I have an X5 40d and same codes. Trouble is, none of the local garages will touch it and we're in the UK so no recall yet for the PM sensor.

I was going to attempt replacing myself. Eric, did you get confirmation that is was no 13 from the dealer? The one after the CAT?

I got a bit confused as there are sensors before the DPF, after the DPF and after the CAT...but no mention which one is the Particulate sensor...

Thanks

Hey Paul, have you figured which sensor it is? I'm having the same error and ISTA ABL points to this sensor but I can't figure its location on the car
