Upgrade to Track Handling Package?

Hi,

I have a ‘16 340xi with the Track Handling Package.

I like the adaptive suspension, but sometimes wish for a little less roll and a little firmer grip. I will likely not track the car and I do not want to lower the car much due to concern of worsened ride quality due to x-drive.

Is there an adaptive suspension upgrade that would use the same console switch to go from comfort to sport, etc?

I found Bilsteen B16 kits but that looks like it uses a separate aftermarket button?

There is just the shock/struts with the bilstein b6.
Also the b16 damptronic for full coilover.
KW DDC is full coils similar to b16.

All retain the oem button functions.

If all you want is a little less roll. Some springs may be all you need. Eibach will be closest to stock height.

For a tad firmer try shockware. Very cheap option. If not enough then do proper springs/dampers

for less roll and firmer grip, you need to upgrade your sway bars. a large part of the cost being install because it is labor intensive.

otherwise i'd go Eibach Pro-Kit (6-22) springs which lowers a mild 0.8"(20mm) front, 0.6"(15mm) rear. they are 10% stiffer so you'll retain reasonable ride comfort, reduce the x-drive wheel gap to a "how it should've have come from the factory" appearance and should not appreciably affect damper lifespan.

Dinan Shockware is basically a performance "flash tune" for adaptive dampers with mild lowering springs and should maintain the adaptive damper lifespan.

a front strut tower brace/bar is another cheap option to stiffen the chassis

not sure... wiechers, racing dynamics, megan racing? i'd get a hinged one, straight between the struts without any bends, possibly adjustable.

here's a thread on it...https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1595124

you may want to become more informed by doing a search on all of these items (swaybars, springs, dinan shockware, strut tower brace).
.

See above. It sounds like sport springs is all you need! Go for Eibach or AC Schnitzer - slight drop (great upgrade to the look of the car) and slightly stiffer in Sport, but no degraded comfort in Comfort.

+1 for firmer anti-roll bar, the job of which is to . . . tamp down on roll. If that pesky engine wasn't the way, the job would be so much easier . . .
