I always found the base area around the shifter to be a bit dull and empty on the F 3x series, I finally found a solution, I bought the clear coated carbon fiber trims for the center console and a template for the shifter base. I think it really matches and upscaled the look, I put a before picture in too for comparison. I also got a red aluminum key case to match my car's melbourne red, what do you guys think ?

Thanks man, yes its a 2 piece overlay, top side is aluminium painted ruby red, bottom piece is black plastic. Our key fobs worth as much as a used iphone, so I figure it should get a nice case too. Here's a few more shots I took for ya:

I bought these on a chinese phone app called "TaoBao", it's basically the chinese ebay, I picked it up in Hong Kong when I went back for visit. Unfortunately I don't know where else to get them from.

I kinda wish the weave was going the same direction, but otherwise it actually looks pretty good.

Thanks. Installation was simple, both came with double sided 3M tapes. Just clean the surfaces and test for fitment, mine fits perfectly. Don't even need to remove the original center console. One of the easiest mods to do.

Looks good!
My OCD would want to swap out ALL of the silver if I went down this path...

For anyone that wants to hunt this down, it seems pretty similar to these sort of listings on Aliexpress:

Yep. I just struggle with carbon fiber accents in general. The more it invades our interiors, the more it looks stuck on. I prefer matte plastics until there's a way to make the interior accents more cohesive. The bar across the dash works for me because it carries all the way around to the doors. But even the stock piece under the armrest seems random.

At least it keeps me from spending money I suppose.

I definitely see your point, but I like the silver / gloss black trim on the dash with the carbon fiber on the center trims, it adds a 2 tone layer to the whole look, I actually don't prefer everything carbon fiber, I think that's over kill.

Maybe some CF trims do, but the ones I got definitely does not look stuck on, it looks OEM, people who sat in my car said they really like the OEM carbon fiber, then I tell them I put those on.
