Hi everyone. I recently purchased the BM3 license + all the maps from the guys at x-ph and should be here tomorrow.

I plan on skipping OTS stage 1 and going straight into stage 2 91 oct (I live in Cali where 93+ oct is hard to find). How does this set-up look for stage 2, and can anyone chime in to let me know if there are potential problems that I might run into?

'16 435i RWD (F32 N55) automatic transmission with these bolt ons:
1. Fabspeed Sport HJS Hi Flow Catted DP
2. VRSF 5" HD FMIC
3. CTS Turbo Charge Pipe
4. CTS Turbo CAI
5. MP axleback exhaust

Is there anything I'm missing to make sure I don't completely screw my engine up?

You cannot screw your engine up. BMW designed in extensive self protecting features. You have nothing to worry about.

Most important is to replace the CP, a good IC and a sports cat/de-cat which you have. All set.

That's a pretty solid list, I think you'll be impressed with the change you get once the tune is on!
Are the mods already on or waiting to be installed? My only extra suggestion is to get a GFB DV+. It's a PITA to install, but if you've already got the IC off thats the time to do it.

I've been running a similar set up for ~5000kms and haven't had any issues.

I too will shortly be skipping the stage 1 and right to the stage 2 93. Have all the supporting mods except of the open air filter, I opted to get a higher flow replacement filter.

Would it be a good idea to get different spark plugs? I assume mine are original with the car...but it only has 7k miles. Will those be good for a little while, or just do the cheap insurance and get a stage colder plug?

I'm in Cali running BM3 stage 2 with similar FBO. Love it and no problems.

Nearly identical setup here. All CTS parts, but MHD stage2. You're gonna be smiling non stop. I assure you.

I can't wait. ODBII/Ethernet cable is on it's way from amazon. Probably will be tuned by the end of next week depending on my schedule.

I'm running the stock plugs, current set are 30,000kms old and no issues.

So I actually ended up just going to stage 1 91 oct for the mean time.

I have the the Catted downpipe and axleback exhaust installed so far, and will be going stage 2 once I get my FMIC, chargepipe and CAI put in.

I took this log earlier today on stage 1 but I'm not even sure if I did it correctly.

http://www.bootmod3.net/log?id=5c8e991fc090c6096a4523b1

How does it look?

Just bought the BM3 license from mike at x-ph. Their price was the cheapest ($575 if you have your own ENET cable). Once I get the license email, I'll be good to go.

Local shop is having a dyno day in April. I'll have to sign up now.

Stage 2 is up and running. Like everyone has said, I'm blown away at how smooth the map is. Didn't do the aggressive burble tune, the normal one is more than enough. Full power hit in 3rd (8ZHP) will trigger TCS. Can feel the torque limit being hit in 6th though. The trans flash will have to be next...eventually.

Extremely happy with it. Side note, are the updates to the OTS maps that you've already purchased free? Was a random question I thought of.

hi where do you get a trans flash? Is that a transmission tune? (separate from Bootmod3 tune)

I'm installing the Stage2 93 Octane also. BootMod3 manual actually recommends going to the colder NGK 97506 plugs gapped down to 0.020". They usually cost $14-$18 each.
The 97506 are pretty much the consensus choice from what I've read. The material of the stock Bosch plugs aren't made to change the gap. They often will break if you try.

Curious if anyone has a good dyno graph that they could post, or has actually dyno'd their BM3 car with a similar configuration of:

BootMod3 N55 Engine, EWG (Electronic Waste Gate, late '14-on), Stage2 tune, running 93 Octane?

I'll have to get some of colder plugs for longevity. I only have 7k miles on my current plugs (just passed 7k miles on the car!)

I'm planning on attending a dyno day sometime in April (maybe the 20th) and should be able to get a graph then. It'll differ from you though as I have a RWD and not XDrive

Your setup is pretty close. Please post the graph when you get it.
FYI- Mike said he has the NGK 97506's if you haven't already bought them.

I just upgraded to FBO (ER FMIC / TIC / CP / DP, Turner Intake) and bootmod3 stage 2 on my N55 EWG. I should have a dyno to share in a few weeks as well that I will post here too.
