2013 F30 335i Xdrive 8A N55 PWG....

With intake, chargepipes, BMS intercooler and BM3 what kind of numbers should I expect with this software platform?

The only thing i could find on your Atlassian was an instagram post showing 380 horse and 480 wheel torque for map 6 with full bolt ons. That was listed as a PWG turbo as well.

I finally updated my Wi-Fi agent and I'm having the same issue. Put in a ticket yesterday. I can delete gauges and move them, but can't add or configure gauges. Anyone else?

Thanks for sharing the link. From what I understood, you still need the hotspot to be turned on your phone in order for Pi to get it connected to your phone via Bluetooth. Unless I misread, it appears it is not possible to get it connected without hotspot capability on your phone.

hello again, sorry for the long post, here it goes.. I'm getting a charge pipe, intercooler, downpipe and GFB dv+ (without spring) installed right now at a shop. when I show up they said they don't do BM3, I'm guessing my original message was mis-read, but that's okay because BM3 seems pretty straight-forward to install. anyway, on to my question... can I get bootmod3 up and ready to go, so when I pickup my car all my settings and map are prepped ahead of time? I would basically just plug it in an click flash when I get there. I have read repeatedly that it's okay to drive without a tune, but I also saw a thread not too long ago where someone had problems installing a dp without tuning, that's why I'm trying to do it there and not when I get home. I have a 2013 335i sedan, and I currently do not have a tune at all. Thanks e1!

Yes. If you have paid for the license you can load the OTS tune into ‘my maps’ and adjust whatever settings you need. For example, you might want the cat cel disabled if you’re going catless.
However. The first time you plug in BM3 you need to crack the dme and download your stock tune. This takes time and you’re suggested to use a battery charger.

Newbie to Bootmod3

Hi guys, I have a few questions.

1. Is there a way to create a copy of the stock map? I notice you can customize the stock map in Map Editor but what happens if you want to go back to stock?

2. I'm full bolt on and running stage 2 acn91 octane. Is there anything else I need to do? I've read in a few posts that some are changing out plugs. I also see that some are getting leaks is that normal. What do I need to look for when running stage 2.

Your stock map as well as some magic to "relock" your DME is copied and stashed away for you. When you want to go back to stock you load that tune and select to lock the DME.

I'll leave the stage 2 question to someone else.

You can go with any tuner that supports the platform. It will cost you though and that's up to whomever is doing the tune. PTF also does custom tunes, but I've not explored that. Regardless, that too will cost you extra on top of the ridiculously low $50 you pay to access any OTS maps. You should contact PTF directly if you want a custom tune from them. They're really good about getting back to you.

I had the same problem brotha. Where did you purchase it from? For me I got it from x-ph so I contacted Mike. Mike gave me the order number for the BM3 license + unli maps from ProTuningFreaks, and from there, I emailed ProTuningFreaks and told them the order number. The issue was resolved within a few hours! Good luck!

Currently running a stage 2 Dinan but also have MPPK and a CTS Turbo FMIC on top of it.

I've been considering buying bm3 and selling the DinanS2 and going bm3 stage 2 since after I get my exhaust and fabspeed dp it doesn't make sense to be FBO and not utilize the power. Also I run 94 chevron gas (canada), will running a 93 octane map make a huge difference?

I've seen too from this thread that it looks like a lot of people have been having power delivery problems with the 6MT, is this still happening?

2014 EWG 6MT here and I have no issue with power delivery on the latest map. the tune is very smooth with plenty of power.

I just flashed stg 2 (Bought long ago but was having DT Malf before bm3, and diagnosing I went to stock...Just reflashed and OMG, the difference from beta stage 2 and last tune was shocking....pulls hard through.6th in MT...couldnt ask or mre.

XDI-35 alternative

Anyone here done the B58 HPFP to N55? from what ive seen on other threads is this might be a cheeper alternative than going with XDI-35 or port injection.
Ive seen B58 pumps online for about $300 which can help us run more fuel.

I gotta be honest i havent used bm3 i use mhd because of the jb4 i love being able to change boost levels on the fly and use my phone to load up tunes that i modify but i love that there are options for our platform and i give props to bm3 for all the work done.

edit: my post for some reason sounds a bit angry and attacky not intended at all hah, just trying to gather information to decide whether to buy..

So i know this has been asked before.. But there was no clear response.

Is bm3 planning creating maps that would complement the torque limiter removal of xhp?

Some people say bm3 doesnt need it... bm3 is working fine with xhp... bm3 never had problems with torque limiters.. really? well can you expain to me then how is bm3 getting around those torque limiters? Because if there is not a clear answer i just have to assume. and its easiest to assume the maps are sending wrong torque numbers to TCU not to trigger the limiters.. the TCU is then working with wrong torque numbers which xhp claims is not healthy for it at all.

So i dont want to buy xhp to remove torque limiters, if bm3 is working around them in the first place and the maps wont change.. if bm3 is doing something more sophisticated to the limiters then id like to know what.. they gotta be doing something if 6th gear is apparently limited to as low as 400nm from factory.
