Coral red leather wear! Help!

Recently I have noticed the driver's side door has some wear in the leather. I have heard that the BMW is very soft but is there anything I can do to fix this? The car is under warranty until February but I don't think something like this would be covered.

Any and all suggestions would be appreciated!

Thanks!

Doesn't hurt to bring it to the dealer to see if they will cover it.

The 2nd picture shows what looks like bubbling, have you tried to clean it with something alcohol based?

I usually just wipe it down with distilled water and a microfiber towel. I haven't tried anything else in fear that it will become worse.

That definitely does not look like regular wear and tear on Coral Red leather. I doubt the dealer will help you much here because it looks like the area was mis-managed. Either way, it doesn't hurt to try and see if they can cut you some slack and clean it up for you as best as possible. Good luck man.

Clearly customer damaged.

The only good news is that of all the leather parts you could have damaged, part number 51417345385 at less than $300 MSRP is the cheapest leather part you could have damaged.

Your sweaty arms damaged it and even redying will not work long term for same reason. For the difference between redying and replacing, replace it.

Next time eBay runs a 15% or 20% off code, you could pick it up for less than $200.
