14' M sport steering wheel

Hi!
So I recently purchased a 14' 335i m sport. From the what I've seen, the previous owner didn't take very good care of the interior of the car. I took the liberty of cleaning the steering wheel tonight, just with microfibre cloth and water, give it a good rub down and a lot of the dirt came straight off.
However,

this happened. There was a small amount of blue on my microfibre cloth:

Have I ruined my steering wheel?
If so, how can I fix this?

Thanks!

might have gone a lil too hard when cleaning and rubbing it but I'm pretty sure any leather conditioner will easily fix that

Looks like color came off. Good detailer will know a leather refinisher.

I agree with the previous posts, you went through the color. i'm not sure a leather conditioner can fix that since the paint is gone instead of faded or cracked. you'll need to have it recolored. It's easy, you can do it yourself if you can find the paint.

What type of paint would I be looking for? Leather paint? Steering wheel paint?

I would look for an interior shop. This should not be a big job

Yup, you've gone thru the color

EZ to fix yourself - just order some Black Leather DYE (not paint) and touch up that area. Normally you would use a special sponge to apply the dye

http://www.leatherworldtech.com/Sponge-p/016050601.htm

You can see/get BMW Leather dye in OEM colors here:

https://www.leatherworldtech.com/BMW...ors-s/1846.htm

For the wheel you would need to go with #0523

I had retrofitted M3 interior in my old E92 in the Silverstone color - ordered the dye to touch up some scratches/wear marks that I eventually put in the DS - color matched perfectly
