when i was shopping back in august 2017 i had a tough time finding a 6MT 335i. There was 1 in my home state, which i ended up buying, but very limited here in New England. They pop up from time to time. That being said - i never took my search nation wide. My Salesmen told me they're pretty hesitant to take on a 6MT car in the present day. Everyone here typically wants an auto with xDrive, and the manual cars tend to sit for extended amounts of time. I'm sure this varies depending on the area. |

I had the same experience when shopping for my 6MT 335. I’d see maybe 1 pop up every month or so. They always went quick, so I had to pounce when I saw one I wanted.
Looked nationally as well and there weren’t very many...but sort of makes it worth it when you find one. I enjoy the rarity of it. |

As one does not see that, it can only means 1 of 2 things. 1) The demand of 6MT is only in used market as they are not big sellers new. 2) 6MT owners are fooling themselves. |

Dealerships in the GTA will not order any MT's unless they're built-to-order and pre-owned will not touch a MT car because there is almost no re-sale value/market. The only market I can see where the MT market may still be active is in states like California where the car market is huge, but other than that, I don't see a "premium" for MT's anywhere else. |

I'm in California and leased a manual 340i about a month ago. (This is my first post here!) There were only two new ones in the entire state (one 2018 and one 2017). Would agree with earlier comments that there seems to be decent pre-owned demand for these but dealers aren't taking the risk having new ones in inventory.

Last year, I looked in California for a 3 or 4 series with a 6MT and the only one I could find anywhere was a VERY basic 320. Before I saw that car, I didn't realize they made BMWs with manual seats. I ended up ordering one.

I got a great deal on it because it had been sitting on the lot for months, and did not have any tech packages, so fairly undesirable for most people |

For some reason my mind keeps thinking that I could get a MT M240i RWD for cheap and that I could get rid of it no problem because, who doesn't want RWD and manual transmission BMW? I eventually come back to reality where that market is long gone. As much as many here say pre-owned is the way to go and "MT forever!", the market and inventory say otherwise. |

Saw one new M2 with a 6MT for sale locally. Don't see a lot of 6MTs on the used car market here.......

i have a 13' 335 6speed msport, i hope so, that was one of the selling points which pushed me to get this over the automatic. Plus i was told i got one hell of a deal for it as well. $22k with 28k miles, fully loaded. picked it up just last november.. there were 2 manual options in my area Northern california when i was shopping around... and supprisingly this was the cheapest out of all auto and manuals

Local dealer had two new 340i manuals on the lot as of last week. Says no one else is ordering them, and they are not worried about selling them. Manual-fans have this last chance to get one.
EDIT - checked new car list on website and the two are still there as of today. One is Black Shaphire (sic), other is Mineral Grey. Both 2018 340i xDrive sedans. Both at $71xxx Cdn.

I was never able to find a nice used #SaveTheManuals f30 with inline six. So then I looked for a new one. I could not find one. So then I ordered one.

Obviously depends on the market.
My 335i (above) sold the very next day I turned it in...to the ///M driving school instructor. My new M3 is a manual, off the dealer lot. I also agree that the demand for the manuals is diminishing |

Yeah, how dare people eat or drink or anything while they stare at the license plate 3 feet in front of them as they plod along at 10mph in stop and go traffic to get to their job every morning. Instead they should be joyously moving a lever around endlessly while they push a clutch in and out 10000 times during their commute. They would be so much more evolved that way. Miserable eating, drinking, 2 pedal non 'driving enthusiast' bastards.

You guys just live in the wrong cities hence why you're so crusty. LOL
The 6mts also have a great crawl feature where the car will roll around 2mph and won't stall unless you come to a complete stop. When you start out again, all you have to do is release the clutch. No gas is needed. Later model manual BMWs are hard to find because very few are available in the models, few order them, and those that have them, keep them because they know they have something special. |

Not even sure why you'd bring food or drink into a BMW anyway. I have banned certain items from ever entering the cabin of my car: 1) Food 2) Liquids (except water) 3) Pets 4) Kids Result: preservation of pristine interior a perpetual happy place
