Mobile cameras over here use laser technology and if I understand correctly the "laser shifters" in the video are in effect laser jammers? That being the case they'd be illegal in the UK so I'd say save your money unless you fancy a few months in a cell for attempting to Pervert The Course of Justice......

A top-end system and a very professional install BUT, laser jammers are illegal in the UK (with potentially severe penalties), and the components are easy to see/find.

What would be really neat, if you decided to risk the wrath of getting caught with an installed laser jamming system, would be to integrate all controls into the iDrive system or simply use your smartphone as the UI to control the in-car 'brain'.

I wouldn't get caught using a jammer in the UK unless you like spice and KY jelly.

Used to have a jammer or blinder on my Volvo T4 back in the day - marketed as a parking sensor and had a switch so you could turn it off should you inadvertently come across a speed trap.

Never had opportunity to test it out.

Nowadays they’ve set the precedent of these being perverting the course of justice with Plod coming down ( unreasonably- in my opinion) on useage.

Detectors and jammers are different. I had a detector and all it did was alert me a few hundred feet away from the signal. Only a fool would use a jammer to scramble a signal. Some jammers are also used to enter gates to a hundred acre estate and then the garage... but jammers do get abused and misused to be above the law by the lead footed. Especially the youth in their Stage 2 A45 AMG running late for their girlfriends debutant ball.

It's an impressive and clean installation. I doubt there will be a UK company that offers such a solution.

IIRC the Wireless Telegraphy Act of 1949 said something along the lines of "unless you are specifically allowed to receive a signal, you are forbidden to do so." Radar and laser bands have never been put on the listening list, AFAIK. As for using a jammer, a transmitting device, that is a total no-no without a license, which you are not going to get.

Which was exactly my point; to be effective against modern mobile cameras you really need a jammer but they're illegal in the UK and there's precedent for people using them being convicted and sent to jail for PCoJ.

Therefore, while what's in the video is a neat solution, in the UK it would just be a potentially expensive way of risking a custodial sentence IMO....
