CPO LEASES- Does anyone know how they work?

I have done a CPO lease on my last 5 series. When I brought my 335i in for lease inspection, I was going to lease a new 528i, but once the inspection was over the sales guy told me I would have to roll in 2000 in miles overage, 3 tires that were bald, as well as some damage. Long story short he recommended a 2013 528i with 0 down, they ate the 2000 in lease return expenses, and i walked away with no payment due and 400 a month payment fro 23 months. I was pretty naive to leasing at that point, but the payment and overall deal just made sense at the time. My questions is there posted lease residuals or MF for the CPO lease program. I recently moved to TEXAS and my new sales guy was shocked I leased a used car and said he has never seen it before. not much help there. Any feedback would be great.

I think if it's the managers car they usually lease it. I've heard this story on the F80 forum.

Is the lease through BMWFS?

Yes it is through bmwfs... I am calling dealers but most act like they don't know much about the program

Prior to turning in my 2013 BMW lease some 18 months ago, I inquired about re-leasing.

Was offered a 12 month lease of roughly 1.5x my then monthly payment (or roughly $1450) and a 24 month lease was roughly 50% more (or roughly $900).

Needless to say, I did not go that route.

When lease expired several months later, I asked about re-leasing (to see if Dealership had access to better rates from BMWFS or 3rd party). At that time I was told no one leased used cars.

So it seems that it must be done in certain special circumstances. I just have no idea what those are.

BMW dealer will lease the "loaner cars" they have after about 6 months, usually with 4-6K on odo (less than 10K). they are essentially new cars and qualify any new purchase or lease program
