Removing front head rest on a 2015 435i Msport Convertible

I've got a new set of front seat covers for my M sport seats from CoverKing and I'm stuck on step 1:

Remove head rests.

Any one know how to remove them?

When I lift the head rest up as far as it will go, there is a small velco flap underneath but I can't seem to find anything that will release the head rests.

Any remove them before?

I believe on mine I just held the button in and pulled them up...after tilting seat back so it wouldn't slam into the headliner or me.

But, I'm vaguely recalling that maybe I had to pry away the clip locking the bottom rung of headcover on. Guys have 'hacked' headcovers here, so there should be some pictures of the mechanism to give you some idea how to do it.

Use a good led flashlight and have a look. I got mine up and out so I could dremel out one of the bars so it'd go all the way down.
