A new addition
Hello all,
Some quick pics of my new addition, picked up last Saturday. Here's one with my Z4 M Sport which the F30 has replaced - the F30 in this pic isn't actually mine just so happened another local dealer had one in the same colour/spec while I was looking so managed to get one with both parked together. It was the test drive in this one which convinced me to go for the 320D. Did try to get some nice pics but unfortunately only had my phone with me. Better pics will follow! Very happy with the car so far - it's my first diesel, and quite sensible for me given some of my previous cars! I'll add some further thoughts once I've had a chance to actually drive it |

Thanks - just realised looking back at the pics that they really don't do Estoril Blue justice on screen - it was the colour that really sealed it for me. Always loved EB on the E36 and odd E46 and when I saw this car with the M Sport kit, 19" and in Estoril Blue in the showroom it all just clicked!

Very nice motor you've got there
The EB M-Sport is one of those cars people watch as it goes by I think... looks really smart. Saw one in the flesh at the dealership a couple of weeks back and photos really don't do that colour justice. Hate to say it but I almost prefer it to red. My excuse is that EB wasn't available back in March... nor was the M Sport... nor was the 330d...

Yeah I feel like that old VW advert where they say "He bet a million on red... and it came up black"
Still, I was under a lot of pressure to donate my E81 (which I was actually quite fond of) to an eager family member so couldn't hang on for 6 months for all the 'nice' models/options to come out That said, the 328i is a barrel of laughs. "I wish..." you'll start to sound like me Actually the good thing about privacy glass as an option is that a decent window tinting company can do it for much the same money, or less

I thought the factory option was more than just tinting? Or have I made that up? I thought all the windows got treated to reflect heat or sommat and the rears got a tint too. I could have dreamt that though.

Thanks all
I had the October week off and had half an idea of changing the Z4 so went looking round some garages and saw this in a local dealer. They had it in the showroom and it was the first M Sport F30 I'd seen - and I quite literally loved it the first time I saw the car! I did look at some other options but kept coming back to this one. As the car was already at the dealer it was spec'd up, but came with a reasonable amount of options - the main ones I really wanted were the colour and the 19"s, so anything on top of that was a bonus. I did drive another which had the sport auto and all the toys, but I was happy with the manual. The Professional nav was nice, but not £2k worth of nice, and as mentioned, the car was already there so it was a case of go for this car, or wait a few months for a factory order. Happy I did go for this - while the Z4 is a great car for the summer it was beginning to get used less and less as the weather worsened. |
