Love the new interior, especially the seats. Don't like the new digital dash, Audi still ahead here. Don't like the headlights and can see the laser lights being very expensive. Do like the new exhaust setup which was always a criticism on the F30. Doesn't sound like the engine range is going to move on much apart from small power gains. Will have to see what they say at the reveal.

Real photos here, looks much better than the generated pics
Yes, the real photos do look a lot better.

However it's also easier to see the C-class in it's shape.

Nice spot, does look slightly better, I still think the G30 is much nicer though.

Tony seams to think there’ll be decent discount from the get go, there was almost immediately after the G30 released.

Dont get too excited about ordering one from launch. When the F3x came out it took around a year for the 335d to come out.

Typically there is a very limited engine range on launch. Then they bring a few more out in dribs and drabs.

Boooooo! Burst my temporary bubble, lol

Got a 320d now, so would prob be happy with a 330d, my real big question will be how hard is it to mute/unmute in id7? in id6 it was like 3 clicks which is deal breaker, how my priorities have changed

Apparently M340d will be delayed launch, like the X3 M40d.

Why are all the new models coming out with ugly grilles

Is Bangle back at BMW designing the front

Haha at least Chris's flame surfacing design still looks pretty good today in my opinion.

The front with that cheesy face, big grills and Lexus rear looks really poor to me on the G20. No idea what's going on in the design house other than making the kidney grill bigger and bigger!

I dont mind it...subtle and sort of used to the look from the 5er/ X3.

Looks like the duel exit exhaust for lower engine from the 5 has been adopted.... so no more duplex exclusivity to the 40i engines.

I thought the 335d would change to the M340d

I can't say the initial reaction to seeing the exterior is one of excitement, you know that feeling of "wow" you get when you see some cars for the first time. I hope this is different when I see it in the flesh. Is it me or does it look quite high up, or is that more because I've got used to seeing so many pictures of lowered F30's?

I do like the interior, but unless I'm missing something do we lose rotary dials for climate control temperature?

I'm not feeling any love at all for the new G20. I genuinely think BMW have lost their way with the external design, going for sharp angles that are very contrived and inelegant. In fact I'd almost say it's like a Japanese attempt to design a 3 Series. The front on the M Sport has a garish look and could almost be mistaken for some 'after market' add-on from Halfrauds. Also those black accents at all four corners on the white car just look so much like an afterthought. As for the exhausts on the 340i, they look more like hoover attachments, and the Hofmeister kink doesn't look like a flowing curve any more?

I'll still reserve final judgement until I see them in the flesh but currently I dislike the look of the G20 enough for it to be off my list of future cars. Plan could be to switch to an F80/82 for a few years and wait to see if the G22 or G20 LCI improves matters at all.

Understand that some here will love the look of the new car, and no doubt BMW will still sell a shed load of them

Quite a lot of interesting things in there. Standard kit levels seem much higher, the option packages look interesting too. The dynamic options look interesting with a the LSD available.

Seems only 320d and 330i available from launch though.

Really don't like the front but I guess it will grow on me (though never liked the 1/2 series front and this looks worse)...

Like: they've fixed the comfort access security issue, much more standard kit included and this looks to improve up through the range, love the xDrive M Sport now sits at the same reduced ride height... Waiting for the decent engines to arrive (and for me the G80 - hopefully with a revised front end)...
