Not that I am getting it, but what is Online Entertainment?

Also does internet option require a paired mobile?

Online entertainment is the use of streaming service rara.. And by all accounts it's not worth bothering with... If u have napster on ur phone better off using that... And no the internet uses the car SIM card.. And is quite slow by all accounts.

At the moment, it is looking like

335Xd - f31 touring
Sports Auto, Glacier Silver, Black Dakota leather,Brushed aluminium interior with black trim.

Packs - Media Pro Nav, Interior Comfort, M Sport Plus, Viz Pack

Extras - HUD, Internet, EBT + Voice, Heated Front seats, Speed Limit

Toying with Panoramic sunroof
Hi mate, regarding the Business Nav, it looks like it will be identical to the pro nav except the screen size and the black panel display. But if you're adding HUD and/or speed limit display, both of those add the black panel display anyway.

So really the question is, are you prepared to pay £1000 (or the monthly equivalent) for just a bigger screen?

That was my thinking - and dropping Pro nav for Business nav would effectively pay for the panoramic roof

Yep!

So maybe the question is, would you be prepared to drop £1000 worth of other extras for just a bigger screen?

I forgot to mention, I had my test drive in 330d.

How on earth do you keep it under 30?

With my 320d manual, I know from revs if I am over or close to limit or it tells me to change gear.

But that auto box with the engine is so bloody smooth, I coughed and was doing 35.

Almost feel sorry for 335d drivers..

Lol, I said almost, I admit the rest is outright jealousy.

Seriously, it is so easy to hit 30 /40 without thinking or knowing it.

At least on a motorway, you have other cars to sort of gauge things.

Oh and my insurance looks like it will be about £8 a month cheaper than current 320d.

Bizarre.

My biggest frustration is that 2k miles in and I've barely had a chance to stretch the legs of this car! I've had a few quick drives, and a some motorway blasts, but mostly dull commuting type stuff... Certainly few chances to appreciate the performance properly.

Hell, I've not even had any goo Q car opportunities to surprise any annoying Audi drivers thinking it's a debadged 320d... won't be long though...

Off topic, but I am off to Germany in March, so another week of M3 fun.
Unfortunately work will not let drive to Milan, I have to fly

I do like the American way of getting BMWs.

I will have to go to London for mine.

Off to London Monday.
Putting in order and deposit.

330d xdrive
EBII
Black leather ( as mentioned on another thread, it's more Batman than Superman).
Msports +
Vis pack
Mirrors
Elect front seats
Protect and shine (no cost, so may as well try it).

Will be haggling over servicing pack.
Will go with Ala most likely for Gap insurance.
Car insurance with BMW, decent quote, less than my current 320d msport (and appears less than 330 S drive).

Unfortunately, my lease on current car is to June 17, however will hand back after May bank holiday.

So I need to time my new car to arrive then - have holiday booked and need car lol.

As lease is with BMW ( same dealer arranged it), I might try early hand over, however I doubt that's an option.

Either way long bloody wait.

UPDATE

I have eventually got order and build date.

Now this is to fit in to my return of current lease car, so it is a while off lol.

Build is sitting at week 20 (12 April)
So in my hands date is looking to sit between 09 - 16 June.

Final order is:

330d xdrive
EBII
Black leather
Msports +
Vis pack
Professional media
Folding Mirrors
Heated front seats
Protect and shine (no cost, so may as well try it).
Servicing pack
Winter wheels (discount for next winter).
Will be using ALA for gap insurance.

Also looking at getting 'new car' detailing carried out by Midland car care (reviews depending).

http://www.midlandscarcare.co.uk

Oh well a very long wait, so anyone that thinks May is a long way off .......

Lovely spec, although I do wonder just how good for sales this forum is: after all, you started off saying "pretty basic spec", and what you've ended up with, er, isn't!

This forum is littered with poor souls who started with "I've ordered a 316i SE with leather seats and not much else because I don't need pro nav, HUD, etc etc" only to finish their thread with "right, I've remortgaged the house and I'm getting a 335d M Sport with all the tricks".

I've been there myself. The good news is we're all winners

The only thing I'm feeling daft for not ticking now is the vis pack. I'm having the M-sport plus pack, so the vis pack is only a couple of hundred quid... It never appeared that cheap on the configurator though. Ah well, I'll live.

Yes admittedly I was either a 320d msport with more toys or a more basic 330d both had to be xdrive.

When I looked in to it further and chatted to dealers etc and had 330d test drive!

330d became an easy choice.

The lighting pack actually dropped my monthly payments and as I was getting winters thrown in, decided to add heated seats.

Just have to wait..... And wait.......

Apparently, only 1 in 10 3 series sold are 3 litres = no brainer!

I think with some of deals being done, there may be an increase in people rolling 6's

The adaptive suspension is truly wonderful, a must have and I don't give a monkey's nuts what others say about it. It works like a dream especially with the sensible and beautiful 18" rims. And my opinion is unanimous! Full stop. QED.
Hmm, each to their own. I use the heated seats every day in winter and could not live without them - folding mirrors on the other hand have not used them in last 6 months so a complete waste of time IMO

For me folding mirrors initially I was not having them, however even my works car park is tight.

Originally heated seats were out, I think for nearly 2 years of ownership I had them on say 6 times each winter.

However decided on both.

Options are a nightmare however at end of day it's pretty much personal choice heavily decided by budget.
