Door Actuator Failure?
I have read several threads where people have not been able to unlock one of their doors.
Currently, my passenger door does not lock or unlock from the key fob or central locking button. I can double pull the door and manually lock as needed. Has anyone had this occur? From a quick look, it appears that the actuator has failed. Thanks for the help! |

Usually its the opposite problem, where you pull the door handle and the lock will go up but immediately spring back down without actually unlocking, and you need to use the central locking button or fob to actually unlock. There are several videos of that on YT and it happened to me as well. At the time my car was still under CPO warranty and they fixed it free of charge after i showed them a video of it occurring (since its highly intermittent). I believe it was the actuator, i could dig out the service receipt if needed.
If yours does not trigger from the fob/button, its either the actuator or an electrical problem. |
