BMW has an excellent transmission

MB has an ugly stalk, like driving SUV

In short, the c43 has nicer interior, the power is great, the exhaust makes you smile every time. The transmission is better than the c450, but still not as good as the BMW. It's not bad, but not great. The steering is a bit more dull then the BMW, but the suspension is much smoother over the 3/4 series. It's stiff and sporty, but not harsh like the BMW. Plus BMW is a bit dated. The Benz looks really sharp.
Ye that's what going to make my decision is the payment and who takes care of me better as well. How much u paying for the c43 if u don't mind me asking ?
It's in Canada so don't let the price shock you. Around 1k. Price between the BMW and Benz was very comparable.

I always used to have that perception, but after having spent 3 months overlap with both I disagree now.

Both cars are spotty and I feel the Benz is more so. The BMW is more harsh. Not sure if people take that as meaning sporty. You don't need to cringe on every pot hole for the car to feel sporty lol.

Not saying that's your take on what sporty means

I feel the MB c-class looks less sporty. The GC looks lower to the ground little more wider. Both cars are great but I think the BMW takes this one.

I took a C43 coupe for a test drive today and was impressed. It looks great in white. Power was good, but my butt dyno couldn't really tell a major difference from my 340i. The interior was nice except for the nav screen which seemed a little oddly placed. It faces straight backwards instead of being slightly angled towards the driver. Overall I have to say I'm definitely tempted to make the switch.

That Selenite Gray in the background looks pretty darn good!

I meant 4 series is wider and lower, whereas MB is bulgy and High

Both cars are good though

Enjoy

The coupe looks way better then the sedan. But the leasing option on the coupe is ridiculous right now.

I drive a 2013 335i MSport and was really impressed when I test drove a C43 Sedan recently. I don't feel that the BMW is as harsh as some are saying, maybe it's got to do with the size of tires/mags you're running. I know that 19" are a lot harsher than the 18" I currently have.

My butt dyno felt that the C43 is faster and that exhaust sound was awesome. When it comes time to change cars, I would definitely have the C43 on my list (though not a fan of the bolt-on screen/tablet like others have mentioned as well).

I was actually ins the same situation a few months back. 440i GC vs c450 (at the time). The biggest change is the transmition if I recall from c450 -> c43 amg.

The MB suspension was great! Best of both worlds. Smooth as butter when you need it and stiff when you're up to it. BMW is similar but harsher. You don't get that wide of a spectrum of change in the EDC in the BMW.

MB sounds down right sexy stock. BMW does also but with mppk or some exhaust mods.

Mb looks pretty if you know what I mean. BMW look agressive with a few exterior parts.

MB interior puts BMW's to shame.

Both hauls quite similarly.

At the end of the day I picked up the 440xiGC. The hatch sold me.

What ever you buy be happy with it, both look great. Not a lot of people have these problems. Hahaa

Cheers!

Good points. The C450 also couldn't be equipped with the AMG performance exhaust that I bet OP's tester had.

If it's any comfort to anyone out there, my 2014 435 still has a more engaging drive than my 2017 C43C

I feel my 19s run pretty good even with the run craps. :

Drove the C450 with the godawful transmission, but haven?t driven a C43. From what I?ve heard, the trans is much improved, but still lags behind the ZF8 in Performance. That and I don?t have much love for MB?s user interface, but that?s small potatoes. It otherwise seems like a great car all around.
