The Independent is reporting that the supply issue is shutting down some vaccination centres next week, before supply picks up the following week. Clearly it has a left wing bias, so the Indie may be tempted to make more of this story than it might deserve, but still interesting:

I enjoyed my time in Virginia. Being from London a sleepy little place like Waynesboro was quite a departure but Charlottesville was lively of a night time and the girls were very friendly

And according to the press conference, 40% of adults have had the vaccine now. That is an amazing stat in just over 12 weeks.

I missed that earlier. What an achievement. In that time again I expect the majority of all adults will have been offered one. And hopefully most continue to take it!

If you're over 56 and haven't had a vaccine yet you can book yourself one directly via the NHS website now. Could be helpful for some on here?

Hadn't seen your post until after we did our bookings earlier this morning but I can confirm what you're saying is correct - the process was quick and easy, Mrs JNW1 and I are booked-in for our first jabs on 15th March with the second to follow on 1st June!

That's me booked. Lots of options for times and locations, very easy and straightforward. Are we sure the govt had anything to do with it....

Well that's the first jab done.

Very impressive, slick operation from the NHS and volunteers.

Greeted by marshals directing you to park. Massive signage everywhere, greeted and walked in. One person leading you to the next. Jab was done in literally seconds.

Big thumbs up from me.

Overall, once they let the Professionals do the set up and vaccinations it goes really smoothly. The Docs and nurses are really good. Glad it is going well.

Same here.

Super efficient service. No queue; quickly greeted; answer a few questions; directed to the appropriate 'station' (standing); jab. The entire process took less than 3 minutes, and no need to wait afterwards.

Impressed by the throughput !

Had mine as well, felt a bit rough 1st night and following day but that's it. Apparently it's more common for the AstraZeneca for the first jab to feel the effects then none for 2nd. Vise versa for the pzfizer.
