Dead Key Fob
Hey guys...I went to Busch Garden today and learned a valuable lesson. Make sure that your keys are buried deep in your pocket! I jumped off the ride and noticed immediately that my keys were gone. Thankfully the ride attendants retrieved the key fob a couple hours later. Sadly it totally damaged. They have not found the blade key or the keychain, but it looks as if the blade key was ripped from it damaging the case.
I got a new battery for it, and was able to use the buttons to all function. Te board looks totally fine, but comfort access and push button start are not working at all. I can't even put the fob against the steering column to get the car to start. I was thinking about buying a shell on eBay for ~$30 to see if it'll work. Any ideas as to what would cause the comfort access and push start to not work? The internals look perfectly fine. |
